Our project “ Discover and share your identity mark” is a K229 project
within Erasmus + programme.
The Project is about the cultural, architectural , historical and natural
heritage of the Basque Country and Greece
It is a two year long programme

Who takes part?: 2018-2019 school year students of 3 DBH
2019-2020 school year students of 4 DBH
The Pedagogical team who takes part : Art department; Basque
departament, Physical Education department; History department; Music
department; Language department; Science department and English
department.

Why did we decide to present the Project?
The necessity to open our project to new realities different from local
contexts through internationalisation

Why did we choose the project?
Because 2018 is the year of the European Heritage
And as we are all European citizens learning about our own identity and
being able to let it know to other members of the European Comunity in
this case Greece is very enriching.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROJECT
20018 OCTOBER FIRST SHORT-TERM JOINT STAFF TRAINING EVENT
Iratxe Cuñado and Gemma Gutiérrez travelled to Greece to carry out the following training:
 eTwinning and flipped classroom.
 To disscuss the project
assessment .
 To know the Greek system of
education.
 To have contact with the students
who participate in the project.
 To agree about the Project
management and development.

2019 MAY SHORT-TERM JOINT STAFF TRAINING EVENT
The Greek teachers will visit Elexalde school to continue with the training:
 The assessment the project.
 Dissemination of the project.
 Evaluate the development of the project.
 Review the activities prepared for next year .

2019-2020 ikasturtean
First students exchange (March)
 15 students from Elexalde school will travel
to Greece.
 During three days, students will carry out
activities related to the project at Katerini
high school.
 In the other two days, they will visit
different places . Platamon castle ; the Dion
excavations; the cities of Vergina and
Thessaloniki.
Second students exchange (May)
 The students from the Greek school will travel
to Elexalde high school.
During three days students will participate in
activities organised at school, workshops,
exhibitions and a Basque sport competition.
In the other two days, they will visit Andra Mari
church, The Old Part of Bilbao , The
Guggemheim museum, San Juan de
Gaztelugatze and Urdaibai
During the development of the poject, there will be some exhibitions and workshops to show the
project to the rest of the students at school , so that they could participate .

Greek partners : The city of Katerini
 It is in the north of Greece in Macedonia
region
 It is at the botton of Mount Olympus.
 It has 90.000 inhabitants.
 It has also 40 schools
 It is near Thessaloniki.
 It is very close to the beach resort Katerini
Paraia.
 The most importan attractions: The
excavations of Dion ; The Mount Olympus;
The castle Platamon ; The city of Vergina
where Alexander the Great´s father is
buried and Thessaloniki

 Number of teachers: 20-30
 It is very close to the city Katerini.

ERASMUS+ K229 THE SCHEDULE OF THE PROJECT 2018-2019 school year
 Presentation of the Project to the students, objectives, competences and activities.

Other activities
 Art department : the creation of the logo. There will be a competition and four logos
will be chosen as winners. From those logos, one will represent the school
 Department of Languages: all the activities related to cultural heritage. The Basque
department will be in charge of the language and at the end an e-book will be created.
 Basque Department : the Greek students will create activities related to ancient Greek
sports and our students will design activities on rural Basque sports . In the
International Basque Day , there will be a Basque sport competition.

ERASMUS+ K229 THE SCHEDULE OF THE PROJECT 2018-2019 ikasturtean
 Music department : The Elexalde students will show Greek students the
Basque instruments . At the same time, the Greek students will show The
Basque students some ancient Greek instruments and how to play them.
Both schools will learn a traditional dance from the other country.
 Basque department : Students will see the differences and similarities
between Greek mythology and Basque mythology.
 History department : The maritime heritage will be worked.
 Another activities : MASTERCHEF: The Greek School and the Basque
School will exchange their food recipies and at the end there will be a
recipie collection.

-Our students will share with Greek students Galdakao architectural and
historical heritage
-Our students will guide Greek students through Guggemheim museum .
-The river as a vehicle of transformation of Bilbao .
-Get to know the Old Part of Bilbao .

-Urdaibai as natural heritage.
