The advancement of science and technology and subsequent industrial processes such as Industry 4.0 should be perceived as an opportunity to transform society from unsustainable living to more sustainable future. One of the challenging issues is how to engage non-state actors, particularly community at grassroot level. The presentation will share some concerns of the issues based on the lesson learnt in promoting sustaibility agenda in some initiatives in Indonesia.

What are the challenges for the Paris agreement in meeting the needs of Afric...rac_marion
The next international climate negotiations (COP21) will be held from 30 November to 11 December 2015 in Paris, France. The Paris summit will be decisive as it has to come up with an international climate agreement that keeps alive the hopes of limiting global warming to less than 2°C by 2100. The Climate & Development Network considers that this summit needs to address the dual challenge of combating both climate change and poverty in the worst affected countries. The RC&D is calling for an agreement which:
- Protects and enhances human rights and gender equality
- Finances the fight against climate change in the poorest and most vulnerable countries
- Invests massively in access to sustainable energy services for all
- Enables the most vulnerable people to cope with the impacts of climate change
- Preserves food security and the climate by investing massively in family and agro-ecological farming.

SINOPSIS:
Bagaimana kita menempatkan etika didalam mengelola kehidupan bernergara?

Transforming Brand Perception and Boosting Profitabilityaaryangarg12
In today's digital era, the dynamics of brand perception, consumer behavior, and profitability have been profoundly reshaped by the synergy of branding, social media, and website design. This research paper investigates the transformative power of these elements in influencing how individuals perceive brands and products and how this transformation can be harnessed to drive sales and profitability for businesses.
Through an exploration of brand psychology and consumer behavior, this study sheds light on the intricate ways in which effective branding strategies, strategic social media engagement, and user-centric website design contribute to altering consumers' perceptions. We delve into the principles that underlie successful brand transformations, examining how visual identity, messaging, and storytelling can captivate and resonate with target audiences.
Methodologically, this research employs a comprehensive approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analyses. Real-world case studies illustrate the impact of branding, social media campaigns, and website redesigns on consumer perception, sales figures, and profitability. We assess the various metrics, including brand awareness, customer engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth, to measure the effectiveness of these strategies.
The results underscore the pivotal role of cohesive branding, social media influence, and website usability in shaping positive brand perceptions, influencing consumer decisions, and ultimately bolstering sales and profitability. PROCEEDINGS. Initially, Green Voice was a multi-stakeholder initiative facilitated by Indonesia Climate Change
Center (ICCC), a program supported by National Council on Climate Change (NCCC) and the US Forest Service (USFS)
with funding support from the US-Indonesia Partnership (2010-2014). In October 2014, this initiative was further
developed as Green Voice Foundation (GVF) by extending its activities to cover broader issues of sustainability
including art, science, technology, and education based on what had been achieved by ICCC. In the last 2 years GVF
had been continuing working with international and key national organizations such as UNDP, UNICEF, International
Labour Organization(ILO), ICLEI-Indonesia, Plan-International/Indonesia, Office of the President’s Special
Envoy(UKPPI), UK-Climate Change Office, Green Economy Caucus of Indonesia Parliament(DPR-RI), Thamrin School of
Climate Change and Sustainability as well as Universities (ITB, UPI). In 2016, GVF in cooperation with Climate Change
Center (PPI) of Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) initiated Sustainable Investment Talks aims at promoting design
and innovation of “sustainability”. Also, with the same spirit expanded networking activities through the establishment

VISION. Enlightening society towards Greener Indonesia movement by the time of global climate change and related
agreements ratified in 2015 and beyond
MISSION and CORE VALUES. Communicating green vision and mission to outreach society awareness through media
aggregation platform that focus on art, science, technology and education, and its related activities. We believe that
sustainable society can be achieved with strong-inclusive governance and engagement, open-minded and critical
thinking, respect to human being and nature, applying impartiality in everyday life, creating and sharing accessible
knowledge that educates, informs and ignites.

11. MITIGATION OPTIONS, SDGS, TRANSFORMATIONAL ISSUES
Mitigation options deployed in each sector can be associated with potential
positive effects (synergies) or negative effects (trade-offs) with the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The degree to which this potential is
realized will depend on the selected portfolio of mitigation options,
mitigation policy design, and local circumstances and context. Particularly in
the energy-demand sector, the potential for synergies is larger than for trade-
offs. The bars group individually assessed options by level of confidence and
take into account the relative strength of the assessed mitigation-SDG
connections.
Some Findings
D1. Estimates of the global emissions outcome of current nationally stated
mitigation ambitions as submitted under the Paris Agreement would lead to
global greenhouse gas emissions18 in 2030 of 52–58 GtCO2eq yr-1 (medium
confidence). Pathways reflecting these ambitions would not limit global warming
to 1.5°C, even if supplemented by very challenging increases in the scale and
ambition of emissions reductions after 2030 (high confidence). Avoiding
overshoot and reliance on future large-scale deployment of carbon dioxide
removal(CDR) can only be achieved if global CO2 emissions start to decline
well before 2030
SouClimate Change Issues: system dynamic issues (social/human, space, time)
rce: Global Warming of 1.5 C, IPCC Special Report, 2018
#GVCOMMUNITYBASEDMOVEMENT
12. MITIGATION OPTIONS, SDGS, TRANSFORMATIONAL ISSUES (CONT’D)
D2. The avoided climate change impacts on sustainable development, eradication of poverty
and reducing inequalities would be greater if global warming were limited to 1.5°C rather
than 2°C, if mitigation and adaptation synergies are maximized while trade-offs are minimized
(high confidence).
D3. Adaptation options specific to national contexts, if carefully selected together with
enabling conditions, will have benefits for sustainable development and poverty reduction with
global warming of 1.5°C, although trade-offs are possible (high confidence)
D4. Mitigation options consistent with 1.5°C pathways are associated with multiple synergies
and trade-offs across the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) While the total number of
possible synergies exceeds the number of trade-offs, their net effect will depend on the pace
and magnitude of changes, the composition of the mitigation portfolio and the management of
the transition.
D5. Limiting the risks from global warming of 1.5°C in the context of sustainable development
and poverty eradication implies system transitions that can be enabled by an increase of
adaptation and mitigation investments, policy instruments, the acceleration of technological
innovation and behaviour changes (high confidence).
D7. Strengthening the capacities for climate action of national and sub-national authorities,
civil society, the private sector, indigenous peoples and local communities can support the
implementation of ambitious actions implied by limiting global warming to 1.5°C (high
confidence). International cooperation can provide an enabling environment for this to be
achieved in all countries and for all people, in the context of sustainable development.
International cooperation is a critical enabler for developing countries and vulnerable regions
(high confidence).

13. COMMUNITY BASED INITIATIVES: THEORITICAL FOUNDATION
Community based is other alternative in managing
“Commons”/Common Pool Resources (CPR), such as collective
forest, collective space outside State and Market (Ostrom, 1990)
8 Principles of successful self-governance:
• The CPR has clearly-defined boundaries (effective exclusion of external unentitled parties)
• There is congruence between the resource environment and its governance structure or rules
• Decisions are made through collective-choice arrangements that allow most resource
appropriators to participate
• Rules are enforced through effective monitoring by monitors who are part of or accountable
to the appropriators
• Violations are punished with graduated sanctions
• Conflicts and issues are addressed with low-cost and easy-to-access conflict resolution
mechanisms
• Higher-level authorities recognize the right of the resource appropriators to self-govern
In the case of larger common-pool resources: rules are organized and enforced through
multiple layers of nested enterprises

15. (0). LIBRARY AS CO-SHARING SPACE (2016)
We realized that there is to a lesser and greater extent a worry, as we
see as of now, that data and information flooding, aka infobesity, drives
the individuals and organizations into misleading behavior and
responses. It seems there is a delay and misconceived in responding to a
digital revolution, “old treatments” to counter to new dynamics.
At individual level, it is also important to understand and apply the value
of “diversity in unity” as one of shared values as the nature teach us.
Sustainable society will be materialized if we treat human being and
nature respectfully regardless their background.
In 2016, Green Voice Foundation, Climate Change Research Center(PPI)
and Central Library of Bandung Institute of Technology(ITB) initiated 21st
Library initiative, an initiative aims at reinventing a new library role

25. FINAL THOUGHT– CROWD SOURCING PLATFORM
Given the reality that Capacity Building requires a large amount of resources and
the need of consistent and continual implementation, crowd sourcing would be the
feasible option. Three strategic approaches are proposed:
• Shared Resource Mobilization. We are expecting interested individuals, organizations
share their resources in many kinds, it does not always necessarily mean a financial
resources. It could be an expertise, in-kind facilities for gathering as well as other support
to make the activities happened.
• Library and Community Center as a Hub. In the past library can be seen as huge store for
searching data, information and references. As of ICT progressively developed, the
traditional role of library is no longer applied as people easily accesses a huge piece of
information from around the world, even with just simply using smart phone. However, still
there is a big issues on how to facilitate information and knowledge exchange with this new
realm. The library can also be adjusted as a venue for crowdsourced gathering to solve the
emerging issues of the society.
• Platform as a basis for scaling up movement. The power of platform has been
recognized as an alternative business model that use technology to connect people,
organization and resources in interactive ecosystem in which amazing amount of value can
be created and exchanged (Parker, Geofrey G. et.al, 2015). As a growing ecosystem,
Youth engagement is also expected to grow in the coming years. Looking forward to this
potentials, we would like to use this model to expand the activities.
