This document presents a bio air purifier project developed by a group of students. The objectives of the project are to build a sustainable membrane, analyze air quality, develop a low-cost portable device, and improve indoor air quality. The introduction discusses the issues of indoor and outdoor air pollution. It also describes the planned use of a washable and disposable filter material. The methodology, literature review, and progress updates are presented. Designs involve preparing biofilter membranes using natural materials and incorporating HEPA filters to trap particles.

4. INTRODUCTION
Rapid urbanization is the main cause for all means of
pollution and air pollution is also in a alarming condition,
the increase in population density in city leads to rapid
deforestation and also maximum use of automobiles which
produce harmful gases into the atmosphere
Our main goal is to provide an air purifier for the outdoor
environment which have maximum pollution levels

5. INTRODUCTION
Indoor air pollutants are ultra fine dust particles normally not
visible to human eye .when we breath these air pollutant get into
our respiratory system exposure over longer period of time leads
to respiratory diseases like asthma and lung problems, allergy.
An average human spends 21 hours/day indoor and hence indoor
air quality is utmost important air purifiers are necessity not only
at home but also in office areas aswell.

6. INTODUCTION
People have already started using air purifier in homnes
which helps to improve the indoor air quality and keep
family safe from dangerous gases, pollutants, respiratory
diseases, etc. So we have a plan to deploy air purifiers in the
outdoor environment which helps to reduce the amount of
harmful gases and dust particles like PM2.5 and PM10 in
the atmosphere

7. INTRODUCTION
Uniqueness of the project: –
The filter material which we have used is
washable and disposable, we are planning to
create our own filter material for the future
versions.

BIOFILTER
Generate fresh indoor air
Avoids infection causing substances present in air
Neutralize smell and unpleasant odour
Reducing the chances of health issues caused by indoor pollutants
The herbs improves immunity

9. EXAMPLE
First of its kind Goutham Gambhir sponsored 2Cr for the
20ft tall tower in Delhi, this is Gujarat based company,
they use only activated carbon for (capturing odour and
gases) and HEPA filters.
Purvankara's project - Purvankara company is building
an air filter of 40ft tall in a residential building in
Bengaluru, which is 8Cr project.

20. RESEARCH ON MEMBRANE
PREPERATION
Melt Blown is a non woven manufacturing system. It is manufactured
conventionally by converting polymers into non woven microfilaments.
With the help of melt blowing process, two layers of different fabrics are
combined and woven together. The fibres are combined in a process of
tangling and sticking together at speed.
Meltblown fabrics are mostly used in: Isolation materials. Air Filtration
Equipments. Mask materials – N95 Masks, PPE Kit, Coverall for
Healthcare Industry.

22. SAMPLE PREPARATIONS
Using different dry flower grained particles helps in creating
a bio atmosphere with good fragnance.
Using dry leaves fine powder creates a bio membraneIn the
filter during air purification process.
Different materials has different binding ability and trials are
made for best results.

23. HEPA FILTER FOR IMPURITIES
HEPA filters trap small, harmful particles, such as pollen, pet dander,
smoke and dust mites by forcing air through a fine mesh. In
consumer products, these fine mesh filters are most often used in
vacuums and air purifiers.
