3. Cute Costume Dress Up
application
We started this assignment as a simple project
As it developed we plan to take it to the next
step, making a legitimate application to be
published to the App Store in the following
weeks
We learned a lot for developing and designing
for the mobile platform as a team
4. Challenges
Design Challenges:
Designing for kids (younger audience) with out
alienating any group (IE: gender, age, etc.)
Using in a new style (out of comfort zone)
Creating layers for Drag-and-Drop interface
Continuity of theme
Simplicity for Mobile Screens
5. Challenges
Programing Challenges:
Converting images to bitmap for quicker response times
Z-index sorting was a challenge, to ensure proper
layering
Streamlining for Mobile’s low hardware specifications
Becoming familiar with CS5 iOS
General Frustrations of learning throughout this project
6. Our Design Process
Genius and User Centered
We went by our own knowledge and research about kids
games and create a prototype.
Then through user-centered design we fine tune our design
and overall product through testing on groups of kids.
We will ask the kids questions and allow them to talk about
what they are thinking about the game and what they are
trying to do. We will take note on areas of pain and areas
that most or all kids use naturally.
