 The project management life cycle describes high-level processes for delivering
a successful project.
 A project life cycle typically has 4 major phases.
- Initiation phase
- Planning phase

- Closure phase
Note: Some methodologies also include a fifth phase—controlling or
monitoring—but for our purposes, this phase is covered under the execution

The first phase explores the project concept. The project need
is identified in this initiation phase. It signals the start of a
project.
