fruits are an
important part of
a healthy diet, and
variety is as
important as
quantity.
No single fruit
or vegetable
provides all of the
nutrients you need
to be healthy.
Eat plenty
everyday!!
Numerous early studies
revealed what appeared to
be a strong link between
eating fruits and vegetables
and protection against
cancer.
Unlike case-control
studies, cohort studies,
which follow large groups of
initially healthy individuals
for years, generally provide
more reliable information
than case-control studies
because they don’t rely on
information from the past.
And, in general, data
from cohort studies have not
consistently shown that a
diet rich in fruits and
vegetables prevents cancer.
The majority of people
know that eating five
servings of fruits and
vegetables a day is very
important.
By eating fruits and
vegetables of a variety of
different colors, one can get
the best all-around health
benefits. Each different
color fruit and vegetables
contains unique health
components that are
essential to our health.

I like all fruits, but my
favourite fruit is strawberry.
Strawberry is a small fruit.
Its shape is different from
other fruits. It has small spike like
seeds outside its body which makes
it look more beautiful. I like all
food that are made with
strawberry like ice creams, cakes,
milkshakes, jams, salads etc. They
are packed with nutrients and are
excellent source of vitamin C.
Strawberries have a sour
taste but when processed are used
as a flavouring agent. They give
sweetness to food items.
Strawberry has a little green stem.
The colour of strawberry is
so beautiful. It is red in colour.
My favourite vegetable is
carrots. I love carrots because
they are a nutrient-rich root
vegetable that tastes great and
is extremely versatile. Carrots
are delicious either raw or
cooked and can be used in a
variety of different recipes.
Carrots are reported to have
potent medicinal properties.
