DEVELOPING EMOTIONAL SELF AWARENESS
The ability to comprehend your own
emotions and how they affect your
performance is known as emotional self-
awareness. You understand what you're
experiencing and why you're feeling it, as
well as how it helps or hinders what you're
trying to accomplish. You are aware of
how others perceive you and, as a result,
your self-image is aligned with a bigger
reality.

MANAGING EMOTIONS (SELF CONTROL)
Emotion management is the ability
to recognize and regulate both
happy and negative emotions in a
healthy way. Youth learn how to
analyze and control their emotions
during group activities and projects,
as well as those they experience
during other events in their lives,
through out-of-school programs.

HANDLING EMOTIONS (RESOLVE PROBLEMS)
Managing emotional reactions
entails deciding how and when
to communicate our feelings.
People who are adept at
managing their emotions
understand that expressing
their sentiments is healthy, but
that how (and when) they
express them is crucial.

EXAMPLE
I interview one of my neighbor who is the mother of 2 boys (one 12 years old and one 14
years old) I provide one question for her;
1. As a parent of intermediate schoolers, How you handle their emotional development?
- As a parent of two who is growing at the same level of emotions is not so difficult
because it has no big difference between the two on how can I approach them. As you
develop a relationship with them, they will feel more secure in their surroundings. This sets
the tone for the rest of their growth. You assist them in their social and emotional
development. Our engagement with others is what drives our social development. It's the
ability to build strong bonds with others. Regulating and expressing emotions are two
aspects of emotional development. It is concerned with how one feels about oneself, others,
and the world.
