Productized has an open book policy, which means we share our financials and P&Ls with whoever wants to see them. In this presentation, you'll find that in 2020 we need to return to profitability in order to keep our doors open, so that means that our projects need to be leaner, and have better financial discipline. 1. Why it’s important (and how) to engage internal stakeholders Communicate clearly and persuasively, and align towards a common mission and vision.
2. We build tech products, but usually the hard part is not the tech, but the people. Different teams with different agendas, “irrational" decision-making, feature requests coming out of nowhere, lack of strategic direction. If you’ve read this far, you know the drill.
3. “Unpack” these problems and share battle-tested tools that have helped me in my work as a PM and consultant, and that I hope are useful to you as well. There are hard limits into what we can fix as PMs in a broader organization, but there’s also a lot we can do (and should be aware of) to drastically cut down on stakeholder alignment challenges.
4. Tools to help you A framework to manage your internal stakeholders and communications strategically and 4 tools to help you communicate more clearly (and persuasively)
5. And many more strategies Such as techniques to help a group reach consensus without (much) discussion and approaches to gradually lead stakeholders to think about problems first, instead of features (solutions).
1.Product-Market Fit Pyramid and The Lean Product Process Learn Dan Olsen’s key framework on how to achieve product-market fit through his lean product process.
2. Identify underserved customer needs Determine your target customer, identify underserved customer needs and define your value proposition.
3.How to build the right product for the right people In this Masterclass, Dan will share advice from his book “The Lean Product Playbook”.
4. Tools to help you Dan will illustrate these concepts with real-world examples and case studies.
5. And many more strategies Come learn how to turn product management into more of a science than an art to improve your odds of success.

A real product journey went on in 2017 while Amjad Sidqi was working as a Product Manager with one of Pivotal Labs' clients in Sydney.
In this PRODUCTIZED talk, Amjad brought to light, in a visual manner, the learnings from this journey, showing some of their research and iterations they made along the way.
The purpose of Productized is to help innovators create successful products.
Making a great product is super-tough. Productized helps entrepreneurs make their early prototypes and access the resources they need to succeed.
We fight for a culture of innovation and productization for both public and private organizations. We bridged several Lisbon Universities, research laboratories, established companies and startup founders.
We have tons of great technologies being created in several Universities, research labs, and even companies but, they are not being productized. Why is that? How can we make it visible?
We believe in human-centered methodologies, product design and product management within startups as well as in established companies to craft thoughtful product experiences.
Because great economies and companies live from great product and services experiences.
This impact report is a small showcase of that work and our thank you to all the partners, mentors, volunteers and staff who help the success of product-driven innovators!
Thank you for your commitment towards our association. We won't let you down.

Team structure how and why carpe data changed it up - Matthew McLughlinProductized
Last February, Carpe Data restructured the functional organization of the product and technology teams in an attempt to improve meaningful outcomes and reflect the continued growth of the company. While some aspects of these changes had already begun to emerge organically, it was important to formally define strong and self-sufficient teams to replace what was previously one large technology resource pool that interacted in a way that was too decoupled from the product vision. This presentation explains the benefits and drawbacks associated with this change and presents the slides used to unveil the change to the company.

Some key insights:
* It remains a problem to get buy-in from the rest of the organization
* This is partially due to the tendency of many organisations over-estimating their own maturity when it comes to CX
* Moving from concept to implementation – and driving action – is the main barrier to reach the next level
* Showing the ROI of CX Programmes remains key – but is also seen as a struggle
* And finally – almost all CX Managers suffer from these issues – and most think their struggle is unique
So have a look at the report, find out that others share your pain, and let us know what you think of the remedies we offer.

Elize Bosker "Radical Transparency: How to Build Trust with Customers" Produc...Productized
If we want our products to be deemed trustworthy and reliable, we need to be transparent about how we work with people’s data. In this talk, Elize will share examples of products and companies who are at the forefront of humanizing technology by applying good ethics and using kind technology. How to build more meaningful conversations with customers is key when working with recommender systems and implementing personalization features.
How can you build a better and more trustworthy product yourself? By using radical transparency: give customers more control over their data, share what you know about them and how you use this information, and open up a bigger conversation between citizens and tech companies. Elize challenges all product managers to pass the transparency test: how much information should you share to help people understand your product, its features and the data you use?
Bruce McCarthy "Product culture eats Execution Culture" Productized19Productized
What is it that Dollar Shave Club has that Gillette has lost? Serial Entrepreneur Bruce McCarthy will lead an interactive discussion on how successful product-focused organizations think and act differently every day in the networked age.
Product culture is fundamentally different than execution culture. Product Culture is not a process or a tool. It is a shared mindset about why we are in business and how we go about things. Rather than focus on design thinking, agile methodologies, DevOps, or Lean, product-focused organizations focus on continuously developing, testing, and delivering products of value to customers using whatever tools work best for them.
Competitors and employees alike are leaving companies with weak product cultures behind. Bruce will tell some horror stories and also some hopeful ones that show change is possible. He’ll ask you for your stories, too. Let’s stop talking about process and tools and start talking about culture.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

3. Founder’s Message
Quoting our speaker Dan Olsen, PMs are some kind of
spider man anti-heroes because we know that with great
responsibility comes no power.
What we have, is an open book policy, which means we
share our financials and P&Ls with whoever wants to see
them. In this presentation, you'll find that in 2020 we need to
return to profitability in order to keep our doors open, so that
means that our projects need to be leaner, and have better
financial discipline.
Now it’s time for a new year and we can’t wait to share it
with you. I'm particularly excited about what we are already
doing for 2020, including the launch of the new website
more focused in the consulting and training activities, the
new digital product manager course, and the Productized
2020.
Please find attached our updated Activities Report 2019
presentation,
Thank you for this great year,
André Marquet, CEO of Productized
Productized has become a trusted organization for
workshops, conferences, community events, and
services that we hope will contribute to the
establishment of businesses that build better products.
We work for product managers, product designers,
makers and innovators of all kinds. Product people are
professionals that thrive in a product culture of
hyper-competitive marketplaces, excelling with
techniques from gamification to behavioral economics
where the focus is the people, the user.
We started Productized 5 years ago because we
thought it was important to have an event to celebrate
product culture. Our core belief is still the same, to make
technology come to market, product ideas come to life
and deliver frictionless solutions that delight customers.
We, as a community, have the responsibility to bring the
next generation of makers that are going to pave way
for the next decades. Product professionals are going to
be in ever greater demand and our role in society will be
better understood.
