Once in Photoshop, the creator made a title for the contents page with a drop shadow, bevel, and emboss to match the front cover. Boxes were used for the list of contents to link it to the front cover and fit the magazine genre. Page numbers were added in a darker red to stand out. Images were included to break up the text and give readers a visual preview of the issue's contents. A subscribe advert was also added based on examples from other magazines.

1. Once I had opened Photoshop I created my title for the contents page. Like
the front cover I added a drop shadow, bevel and emboss, I did this to
keep a link between the front cover and the contents page.

2. I then started to add my list of contents, I wanted to use boxes on my
contents page because I thought they worked well on my front cover and
this would keep a link between the two pages but also I thought this went
well with the genre of the magazine.

3. I then carried on adding my list of contents.

4. I then added page numbers to the left of the list of contents in a darker red
than everything else in the page I did this so that it didn’t blend in, I wanted
the page numbers to stand out as that is what people look for on a
contents page.

5. After creating the list of contents I then decided to add some images, I did this to
break up the page but I also wanted to add a visual contents so the reader can
get an idea of what will be in this issue.

6. I then added a subscribe advert, after looking at other examples of
magazines I found that a lot of magazines put a subscribe advert on their
contents page to encourage the reader to save their money.
