1. Letter from the Principal regarding the Parking
Lot Improvement Plan
Dear Parents,
The parking lot has long been a major focus of concern in the community and I would like you to know
that the Senior Leadership Team along with members of the Advisory Board and a special ad hoc
committee of parents have lobbied long and hard to bring about a solution. As most of you are aware
the land around the school belongs to the Municipality. Now a design has been created by their
engineers that should address concerns about congestion and the efficient flow of traffic. You can see
from the plan that there is a separate entrance and exit for buses at the rear of the school and multiple
entrances and exits for vehicular traffic. I have been assured that construction on the parking lot will be
completed during the summer break. However I debated sharing this because we have been
disappointed in the past when the construction failed to go ahead because of a number of factors such
as the availability of budget.
I’m hopeful that this time that the construction will be completed over the summer so that we can put
this issue to rest.
