Dear Parents,
It has been an inspiring four years for me as the Head of Elementary at AAM. Your daughters
and sons mean so much to me and it is hard to say good-bye to them. I have watched them grow
and learn and become students that exemplify our Keys to Success: Caring, Fairness, Global
Citizenship, Peacefulness, Respect, Responsibility and Trustworthiness. I am so proud of them.
I have come to know so many parents and families and I will miss greeting you in the morning and
saying goodbye in the afternoon. I wish you all the best in the years to come.
Many of you have inquired as to our teachers for next year. Several teachers are leaving for
other overseas positions or are returning home. Some teachers are changing their teaching
assignment at AAM. All new teachers that are joining us at AAM have many years of teaching
experience either in the U.S. or Canada. Next year’s elementary teachers are:

KG 1 - Ms. Shay and Ms. Andrea M.
KG 2 - Ms. Erin, Ms. Nancy and Ms. Andrea T. (from grade 3)
Gr. 1 - Ms. Diana and Ms. Nailah
Gr. 2 - Ms. Kim and Ms. Lauren
Gr. 3 - Ms. Maria (from grade 1) and Ms. Cheryl B. (from grade 5)
Gr. 4 - Ms. Laura C. and Ms. Heather
Gr. 5 - Ms. Jennifer (from grade 2) and a new teacher named Ms. Tracy
Ms. Cheryl H. will be moving to grade 6 in the lower secondary school
Ms. Shahla, Ms. Laura H., Ms. Melissa B., Ms. Kristy, Ms. Shabana K. and Ms. Yanique will be
leaving us this year. Teacher assistants: Ms. Charelle, Ms. Asma, Ms. Shabana I. and Ms. Lubna
will also be leaving us. We will all miss them as they have contributed so much to our school.
REMINDERS: The last day of school year 2013-14 is Wednesday, June 25th
. Report cards will be
sent home that day. And, looking towards next year, the first day of school will be Sunday,
August 31st.
