Principals Application of Risk Management Strategies for Secondary Schools Improvement in Riverine Communities in Otuocha Education Zone of Anambra State
The study investigated secondary school principals application of risk management strategies for secondary school improvement in riverine communities in Otuocha Education Zone. Three research questions guided the study. The study adopted descriptive survey design. The population of the study comprised all 28 public secondary schools principals in Otuocha Education Zone. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire developed by the researcher. The instrument for data collection was validated by three experts in the faculty of education, NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awka. A pilot test was conducted to test the reliability of the instrument. The test of reliability using Cronbach Alpha method yielded coefficient values of 0.80, 0.77 and 0.72 for clusters B1 to B3 respectively. The Cronbach Alpha reliability analysis on the obtained data yielded a score of 0.76 for internal consistency. Mean was used to answer the research questions. Findings showed that principals of public secondary schools applied risk identification, risk analysis and risk monitoring strategies for school improvement to a low extent. The researcher concludes that risk management strategies for school improvement were applied to a low extent by public secondary school principals. Based on these findings, the researcher recommended among others that the Post Primary School Service Commission should regularly organize in service training for secondary school principals that is targeted at improving the skills of principals on ways of identifying risks and threats in their schools. Members provided extensive feedback on the indicators for school safety being developed by SEEDS India. Overall, members agreed the indicators were comprehensive but provided recommendations to strengthen certain areas. Key recommendations included: ensuring gender sensitivity by including indicators that address the specific needs of girls/women; reflecting psychological aspects of school safety; and restricting some policy-level indicators to the role of schools, rather than broader government responsibilities. Members also recommended additions and rewording of specific indicators, particularly around structural safety, preparedness, and sustainable practices. The discussion highlighted the importance of developing school safety policies at the state level to provide an overall framework, within which schools can operate locally.

This research titled "Good Governance Implications on Principals' Effectiveness in Public Secondary Schools PSS in the South West Region SWR of Cameroon", sought to examine the extent to which good governance practice participation affect principals' effectiveness. More specifically, this paper sought to find out how participation in decision making affects principals' effectiveness. The survey research design was employed and a sample of 380 made up of school administrators principals, vice principals, senior discipline masters mistresses and counsellors and teachers, students and parents were used. The simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques were used to select the respondents. The instruments used in collecting data were questionnaires both open and closed ended and a guide for focus group discussion. Validation of instruments was done through face and content validity. Reliability was achieved through the test re test method. The statistical package for social sciences SPSS , version 25 was used to analyse data. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed. For descriptive statistics, frequencies, percentages, bar charts and pie charts were used. For inferential statistics, the Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient Value® was employed to test the hypothesis. The results rejected the null hypothesis while retaining the alternative form. The indicator had a moderate relationship, that is, participation in decision making rxy comp. value =0.561 . This value was compared to the maximum value 1, to determine the strength of the relationship. This led to the conclusion that participation in decision making has a significant relationship with principals' effectiveness. Based on these results recommendations were made following the specific objective. Principals are advised regularly to use participatory decision making to foster their effectiveness. This study evaluated of the student development programs among state universities in Samar Island. The four 4 SUC's in Samar Island were selected as the locale of this study. These were the University of Eastern Philippines Main Campus Catarman , North West Samar State University Main Campus Calbayog City , Samar State University Main Campus Catbalogan City and Eastern Samar State University Main Campus Borongan City with the university presidents, deans directors of the Student Affairs and Services, personnel, and students as respondents. Frequency counts, percentages, and weighted mean computations were used to analyze the descriptive data obtained from the respondents of the study who were chosen through complete enumeration for presidents, deans directors and personnel and random sampling for the students, respectively. As to status of implementation of the students' development programs and services, the respondents rated the following programs and services as “very satisfactory†cultural development program, leadership training program, multi faith services, social and community development program, sports development program, student organization and services, student publications, and student council government. Universidad Iberamericana/UNIBE is located in the geographical center of Santo Domingo, a 4,000,000 inhabitants Caribbean metropolis. UNIBE is expanding its campus by acquiring surrounding properties while trying to maintain some spatial coherence. The growing of our academic community is forcing us to plan ahead for sustainability issues related to transportation, traffic, parking, and adaptability to surrounding neighborhoods. UNIBE is currently ongoing through the process of updating its Strategic Plan for the following six years. R2P2 is an interesting exercise that could help us to adopt resiliency issues into the managing of our campus thus reducing our urban environmental footprint. A cross-disciplinary team was assembled for the first phase. It included graduate and undergraduate students and faculty from the School of Architecture, Research Advisors, the Campus Architect and Administrative Officials. The study aimed to determine the enhancement on Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM)
operations of the schools in the 2nd Congressional District of Sorsogon for the years 2016-2019. It used the
descriptive-survey method since a questionnaire was devised in gathering the primary data as reflected in the
problem. The respondents were the 30DRRM coordinators of the public elementary schools in the 2nd
Congressional District of Sorsogon which were purposively chosen. The statistical tools utilized were frequency
and ranking.
The study revealed that the activities conducted by the school before the disaster were the conduct regular
earthquake and fire drills in rank 1 that were cited by 28 out of 30 respondents which is followed by the conduct of
disaster preparedness orientation with the pupils is favored by 18 respondents that is rank 2. Similarly, 15
respondents mentioned that they meet with PTCA and other stakeholders to discuss the preparedness of the school
in rank 3 then 13 respondents prepare the DRRM plan which is rank 4. Also, the integration of the disaster
preparedness in the lesson was revealed by 10 respondents in rank 5.
During the disaster, the activities were the provision of advisory and announcements about the disaster and
suspending classes as per DepEd guidelines were stated by 20 respondents which are tied in ranks 1 and 2. Then,
the implementation of the DRRM plan was cited by 16 respondents in rank 3 while the tracking of all the school
personnel and learners and coordination with LGU and barangay officials were revealed by 13 respondents that
are tied in ranks 4 and 5.
The activities of the school after the disaster were the conduct of inventory of the damages came out as the most
commonly done activities as cited by 24 respondents in rank 1. Then, the preparation and submission of reports of
damages to the Division Office was mentioned by 18 respondents in rank 2. Meanwhile, the inspection and
assessment of the condition of the infrastructures were revealed by 16 respondents that are tied in ranks 3 and 4.
Also, 13 respondents said that the coordination with the government agencies for immediate assistance was stated
by 13 respondents which is in rank 5.
Moreover, the top three lessons learned of the school after the disaster as revealed by the respondents were the
conducts to capability building activities for increasing the knowledge and skills to cope with the impact of
disasters with frequency of 23, preparedness of schools in time of disasters with frequency of 13, implementing
properly the continuous and sustained conduct of disaster risk assessment with frequency of 11.

This document summarizes a study that examined the enhancement of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) operations in schools in the 2nd Congressional District of Sorsogon, Philippines from 2016-2019. The study found that common DRRM activities conducted before, during, and after disasters included conducting drills, providing advisories, and assessing damages. Key lessons learned were the need for capacity building and preparedness. The top enhancements identified were conducting more trainings, building DRRM capacity, and designating schools as evacuation centers. The study concluded with recommendations to improve DRRM plan preparation, capacity building, and incorporating lessons learned into operations.
Faculty members were challenged to continue teaching beyond the traditional mode during the COVID19 pandemic. Therefore, the research focused on the level of management functions and technological preparedness
of the faculty members with permanent employment status under the business programs of higher education
institutions (HEIs) in Nueva Vizcaya. The idea behind the research was drawn from the theories of planning,
organizing, leading, and controlling and technology preparedness in terms of technology access, technology skills
and literacy, and attitude toward technology. The study’s findings revealed that faculty members have a high level
of management and technology preparedness. Moreover, the study revealed that the profile of the faculty members
had no relationship to their level of implementation of management strategies. On the other hand, younger faculty
members have greater technology access and literacy skills. Furthermore, profiles were not a significant factor in
their level of attitude toward technology. More results showed that when the level of implementation of management
strategies is high, the result is also high in terms of technological preparedness. Based on the study’s findings, the
researcher recommended an enhanced program for better implementation of flexible learning in HEIs.

This study examined the relationship between application of appropriate learning strategies and development of competencies in students of the University of Bamenda UBa . A correlational survey research design, with a quantitative approach for data collection was used. The target population of this study consisted of all undergraduate and Master students, while the accessible population was made up of students selected from six Schools using both probability and non probability sampling techniques. A sample size of 254 students, derived from the Krejcie and Morgan’s Table for sample size calculation, participated in this study. Data obtained were analysed descriptively and inferentially using tables, charts, frequencies, percentages, and multiple response sets. The Spearman’s Rho correlation test was used to test the lone specific research hypothesis. The aim was to find out the level of relatedness between application of appropriate learning strategies and development of competencies in students. Findings showed that, there is a significant and positive relationship between application of appropriate learning strategies and development of competencies in students P 0.027 R= 0.139 . Therefore, the study concluded that adequate application of appropriate learning strategies by students in their environment have significant positive effects on the development of their competencies. Based on the finding, it was recommended that there is need for a competence based curriculum to consolidate students’ self confidence towards success in a task, while avoiding a negative self fulfilling prophecy about learners. Also, there is need for contextual teaching and learning to ensure a connection between what is taught in school and what obtains in real life situations. The Influence of Pedagogic Supervision on School Effectiveness in Public Prim...ijtsrd
The focus of this paper was to examine the influence of pedagogic supervision on school effectiveness in public nursery and primary schools in Fako division, South West Region of Cameroon. The survey research design was adopted for the study. Data was collected from 406 teachers and 62 head teachers from both nursery and primary schools and the number of accessible nursery and primary schools were twenty three. Questionnaire and semi structured interview guide were the instruments used for the study. The instruments consisted of both close and open ended questions. For the reliability statistics, the internal consistency of the head teachers' responses ranged from 0.782 to 0.893. The overall reliability coefficient was 0.989 which was above the recommended threshold of 0.7, while the internal consistency of the teachers' responses ranged from 0.734 to 0.876. Findings showed that while some inspectors could not rate the effectiveness of their schools, others said the effectiveness of their schools were above 12 , 50 and 80 respectively. Findings Comparing teachers' opinion on the carrying out of pedagogic supervision by head teachers showed that head teachers do not significantly differ in their opinion on the practice of pedagogic supervision in school P 0.05 . Furthermore, head teachers teaching in the nursery school, 77.8 and 96.2 of those teaching in primary schools disagreed that their head teachers are carrying out pedagogic supervision. On the same note, as findings showed that pedagogic supervision has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of public nursery and primary schools. In School Activities and Scholastic Performance of the College Council Office...ijtsrd
College Student Councils are the forefront of student government that helps institutions on matters related to students' development. The purpose of this study was to describe the in school activities and scholastic performance of the college student council officers in the University of Eastern Philippines. It covered 57 academically outstanding student leaders who also held key and minor positions in the campus based and external organizations and have involved their selves in general and specific in school activities. Data retrieved served as the baseline data for inputs as regards policy formulation. A Model of Disaster Resilience Among Colleges and Universities: A Mixed Metho...AJHSSR Journal
ABSTRACT :This research paper aimed to create a comprehensive framework for measuring disaster
resilience in colleges and universities. The study used a mixed method through Exploratory Factor Analysis
(EFA), which involved analyzing data from a survey questionnaire. The questionnaire was developed based on
in-depth interviews with 12 selected participants from the University of Mindanao, as well as relevant literature
and studies. It was reviewed and validated by 10 experts using a method called Content Validity Ratio (CVR).
This questionnaire was then administered to 400 students from 10 different colleges in University of Mindanao.
After conducting the Exploratory Factor Analysis and performing rotations and iterations, the researchers
identified five main constructs that characterize disaster resilience among colleges (1) disaster preparedness, (2)
disaster awareness, (3) community readiness, and (4) disaster management, (5) disaster resilience. The
researchers aimed to create an organization called “Council of College Disaster Volunteers (CCDV)” which
consist of student volunteers. These factors can be used to develop effective management strategies and
strengthen efforts in preventing and managing disasters and accidents.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure SARS CoV 2 belongs to the larger family of RNA viruses, leading to infections, ranging from the common cold to more serious diseases. Since the WHO affirmed COVID 19 as a pandemic, recommended outbreak infection control measures are being globally employed. Measures to prevent person to person transmission were widely implemented. Considering this fact, a descriptive study was conducted with an aim to assess the knowledge regarding COVID 19 and its preventive measures among higher secondary students in selected school, Thrissur. 60 samples were selected by using convenience sampling technique. ABSTRACT: The covid-19 pandemic disrupted the learning environment globally, face to face classes were
suspended to ensure the safety of the students, despite the suspension of face-to -face classes, the Commission
on Higher Educational Institution made sure that all schools will continue to serve the students through the
Student Affairs and Services Programs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the programs of the student
services. Specifically, the study examined the student affairs and services that the students are familiar with,
further, it also investigated the services that the students liked the most as well as the services that were not
helpful to them during the pandemic. The researchers used descriptive statistics to determine the frequency and
percentage of participant responses on how they would evaluate the various student affairs and services
programs and the study utilized the student development theory. The study revealed that the orientation and
information services as well as the guidance services were very helpful to the students during the pandemic.

This document summarizes a research study that examined factors influencing students' choice to study business education programs at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. The study extended the theory of planned behavior and examined how students' attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, lifestyle perceptions, and views of a program's reputation affected their intentions to choose business education and subsequent enrollment trends. Survey responses from 342 students were analyzed along with 10 years of enrollment data for accounting and management programs. The findings provided insights into variations in factors influencing choice and revealed a gradual decline in enrollment dominated by male students. The researchers recommend interventions to improve enrollment and make programs more attractive.

The study utilized surveys with students, teachers, and administrators to understand their views on whether programs enhanced students' academic, career, and personal competencies. Key findings were that all respondents perceived guidance and counseling as effective in developing these competencies. However, poor academic performance, unrest, and dropout rates still occurred, indicating programs may not have fully achieved their goals. The study recommended fully supporting guidance and counseling to equip students with needed skills.

Introduction Medical evidence suggests that contaminated hands are the main transmitters of disease. Hand washing is reflected as effective hygiene promotion activities for public health in the whole world. Aim This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of hand washing education on knowledge regarding hand washing and its importance among adolescence in selected schools. Materials and methods A quantitative research approach with Pre experimental one group pretest and posttest design was used to conduct the study in selected schools of Uttar Pradesh. Non probability purposive sampling technique was employed to select 40 adolescence. A self structured knowledge questionnaire containing 30 items were used for assessing the level of knowledge among the subjects. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Results The mean score of the adolescence in pretest 10.2±4.1 is lesser than the mean score in posttest 20.2±4.3, t value 18.8 which is significant P = 0.001. There was an association found between the levels of knowledge among the adolescence with their mother’s education. Conclusion The study is concluded that hand washing education is effective to enhance knowledge among adolescence regarding hand washing and its importance. Attitude and practice of adolescence regarding hand washing also can be assessed in future studies. I coded Isaac's Scholar of Change video this way because it seems a natural way to divide the two topics of the video. Isaac stressed his ability to be a scholar of change, so this seemed like a natural code. The way he is affecting change is by way of teaching the viewers that special needs children have needs, too, like the need to be treated like normal children.
I chose Benjamin Isaac’s Scholar of Change video (2016). Isaac is a doctoral student studying special education. He created an educational cartoon for children that features three child actors as cartoon bugs. The first bug, Skeeter, is voiced by two children with autism. The second bug, Buzz, is voiced by his son, who has ADHD. The third bug, Gigi, is voiced by his daughter, who has cerebral palsy. The idea behind the video is to show children that children with special needs are normal.
I uncovered two significant codes. I am calling the first one “special needs children’s needs.” The three quotes fitting for this code are:
1. Students with special learning needs who feel good about themselves perform better academically than those with low self-concept.
2. Show children with special needs in a very normal light.”⁸
3. The children will merely be who they are.
The second code is “positive social change through education,” which is a quote from the transcript that I would include under this code. Other fitting quotes would be:

This study investigated the life skills of 300 college students aged 18-28 years from six colleges in Coimbatore, India. A life skills inventory was used to measure skills in four domains: interpersonal communication, decision making, health maintenance, and identity development. The findings revealed significant differences in life skills based on college locality, type of group (arts or science), and parents' education. However, there were no significant differences found based on gender, medium of instruction, type of family, or parents' income.
Financial Practices of Private Schools in Nueva Ecija during Covid-19 PandemicIJAEMSJORNAL
This study identified the financial practices, challenges and level compliance of selected private schools in Nueva Ecija during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Ten school treasurers from different private high schools in Nueva Ecija were purposively selected as the respondents of the study. The results revealed that while all schools were compliant to the minimum Certification Assessment Instrument (CAI) standards in the area of school budget and finances set by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) it did not exempt these schools to different financial challenges brought by COVID-19. The data gathered also determined that decrease in student enrollment, difficulty in collecting student financial obligation and decrease in revenue generated inside the school from canteen operation were the top financial challenges encountered by these schools that were mainly attributed to the distance learning modality employed by the private schools due to school lockdowns. Majority of these schools have employed common financial practices in increasing student’s enrollment through increasing the budget on marketing strategy, waiving all school fees to senior high school students coming from public schools and expanding kindergarten subsidy slots and in strategies on intensifying collection of student financial liability by way of orientation on parents/guardians on payment culture, intensifying communication mechanism on collection, account cards available on demand and availability e- payments while continuously improving the overall areas of school operation to perpetually participate as Educational Service Contracting (ESC) schools.

This study examined the relationship between application of appropriate learning strategies and development of competencies in students of the University of Bamenda UBa . A correlational survey research design, with a quantitative approach for data collection was used. The target population of this study consisted of all undergraduate and Master students, while the accessible population was made up of students selected from six Schools using both probability and non probability sampling techniques. A sample size of 254 students, derived from the Krejcie and Morgan’s Table for sample size calculation, participated in this study. Data obtained were analysed descriptively and inferentially using tables, charts, frequencies, percentages, and multiple response sets. The Spearman’s Rho correlation test was used to test the lone specific research hypothesis. The aim was to find out the level of relatedness between application of appropriate learning strategies and development of competencies in students. Findings showed that, there is a significant and positive relationship between application of appropriate learning strategies and development of competencies in students P 0.027 R= 0.139 . Therefore, the study concluded that adequate application of appropriate learning strategies by students in their environment have significant positive effects on the development of their competencies. Based on the finding, it was recommended that there is need for a competence based curriculum to consolidate students’ self confidence towards success in a task, while avoiding a negative self fulfilling prophecy about learners. Also, there is need for contextual teaching and learning to ensure a connection between what is taught in school and what obtains in real life situations. The Influence of Pedagogic Supervision on School Effectiveness in Public Prim...ijtsrd
The focus of this paper was to examine the influence of pedagogic supervision on school effectiveness in public nursery and primary schools in Fako division, South West Region of Cameroon. The survey research design was adopted for the study. Data was collected from 406 teachers and 62 head teachers from both nursery and primary schools and the number of accessible nursery and primary schools were twenty three. Questionnaire and semi structured interview guide were the instruments used for the study. The instruments consisted of both close and open ended questions. For the reliability statistics, the internal consistency of the head teachers' responses ranged from 0.782 to 0.893. The overall reliability coefficient was 0.989 which was above the recommended threshold of 0.7, while the internal consistency of the teachers' responses ranged from 0.734 to 0.876. Findings showed that while some inspectors could not rate the effectiveness of their schools, others said the effectiveness of their schools were above 12 , 50 and 80 respectively. Findings Comparing teachers' opinion on the carrying out of pedagogic supervision by head teachers showed that head teachers do not significantly differ in their opinion on the practice of pedagogic supervision in school P 0.05 . Furthermore, head teachers teaching in the nursery school, 77.8 and 96.2 of those teaching in primary schools disagreed that their head teachers are carrying out pedagogic supervision. On the same note, as findings showed that pedagogic supervision has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of public nursery and primary schools. College Student Councils are the forefront of student government that helps institutions on matters related to students' development. The purpose of this study was to describe the in school activities and scholastic performance of the college student council officers in the University of Eastern Philippines. It covered 57 academically outstanding student leaders who also held key and minor positions in the campus based and external organizations and have involved their selves in general and specific in school activities. Data retrieved served as the baseline data for inputs as regards policy formulation. Considering this fact, a descriptive study was conducted with an aim to assess the knowledge regarding COVID 19 and its preventive measures among higher secondary students in selected school, Thrissur. 60 samples were selected by using convenience sampling technique. on Higher Educational Institution made sure that all schools will continue to serve the students through the
Student Affairs and Services Programs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the programs of the student
services. Specifically, the study examined the student affairs and services that the students are familiar with,
further, it also investigated the services that the students liked the most as well as the services that were not
helpful to them during the pandemic. The researchers used descriptive statistics to determine the frequency and
percentage of participant responses on how they would evaluate the various student affairs and services
programs and the study utilized the student development theory. The study revealed that the orientation and
information services as well as the guidance services were very helpful to the students during the pandemic.

This document summarizes a research study that examined factors influencing students' choice to study business education programs at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana. The study extended the theory of planned behavior and examined how students' attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, lifestyle perceptions, and views of a program's reputation affected their intentions to choose business education and subsequent enrollment trends. Survey responses from 342 students were analyzed along with 10 years of enrollment data for accounting and management programs. The findings provided insights into variations in factors influencing choice and revealed a gradual decline in enrollment dominated by male students. The researchers recommend interventions to improve enrollment and make programs more attractive.

The study utilized surveys with students, teachers, and administrators to understand their views on whether programs enhanced students' academic, career, and personal competencies. Key findings were that all respondents perceived guidance and counseling as effective in developing these competencies. However, poor academic performance, unrest, and dropout rates still occurred, indicating programs may not have fully achieved their goals. The study recommended fully supporting guidance and counseling to equip students with needed skills.

Introduction Medical evidence suggests that contaminated hands are the main transmitters of disease. Hand washing is reflected as effective hygiene promotion activities for public health in the whole world. Aim This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of hand washing education on knowledge regarding hand washing and its importance among adolescence in selected schools. Materials and methods A quantitative research approach with Pre experimental one group pretest and posttest design was used to conduct the study in selected schools of Uttar Pradesh. Non probability purposive sampling technique was employed to select 40 adolescence. A self structured knowledge questionnaire containing 30 items were used for assessing the level of knowledge among the subjects. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 25. Results The mean score of the adolescence in pretest 10.2±4.1 is lesser than the mean score in posttest 20.2±4.3, t value 18.8 which is significant P = 0.001. There was an association found between the levels of knowledge among the adolescence with their mother’s education. Conclusion The study is concluded that hand washing education is effective to enhance knowledge among adolescence regarding hand washing and its importance. Attitude and practice of adolescence regarding hand washing also can be assessed in future studies. I coded Isaac's Scholar of Change video this way because it seems a natural way to divide the two topics of the video. Isaac stressed his ability to be a scholar of change, so this seemed like a natural code. The way he is affecting change is by way of teaching the viewers that special needs children have needs, too, like the need to be treated like normal children.
I chose Benjamin Isaac’s Scholar of Change video (2016). Isaac is a doctoral student studying special education. He created an educational cartoon for children that features three child actors as cartoon bugs. The first bug, Skeeter, is voiced by two children with autism. The second bug, Buzz, is voiced by his son, who has ADHD. The third bug, Gigi, is voiced by his daughter, who has cerebral palsy. The idea behind the video is to show children that children with special needs are normal.
I uncovered two significant codes. I am calling the first one “special needs children’s needs.” The three quotes fitting for this code are:
1. Students with special learning needs who feel good about themselves perform better academically than those with low self-concept.
2. Show children with special needs in a very normal light.”⁸
3. The children will merely be who they are.

A Study on Life Skills among Arts and Science College Studentsijtsrd
This study investigated the life skills of 300 college students aged 18-28 years from six colleges in Coimbatore, India. A life skills inventory was used to measure skills in four domains: interpersonal communication, decision making, health maintenance, and identity development. The findings revealed significant differences in life skills based on college locality, type of group (arts or science), and parents' education. However, there were no significant differences found based on gender, medium of instruction, type of family, or parents' income.
Financial Practices of Private Schools in Nueva Ecija during Covid-19 PandemicIJAEMSJORNAL
This study identified the financial practices, challenges and level compliance of selected private schools in Nueva Ecija during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Ten school treasurers from different private high schools in Nueva Ecija were purposively selected as the respondents of the study. The results revealed that while all schools were compliant to the minimum Certification Assessment Instrument (CAI) standards in the area of school budget and finances set by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) it did not exempt these schools to different financial challenges brought by COVID-19. The data gathered also determined that decrease in student enrollment, difficulty in collecting student financial obligation and decrease in revenue generated inside the school from canteen operation were the top financial challenges encountered by these schools that were mainly attributed to the distance learning modality employed by the private schools due to school lockdowns. Majority of these schools have employed common financial practices in increasing student’s enrollment through increasing the budget on marketing strategy, waiving all school fees to senior high school students coming from public schools and expanding kindergarten subsidy slots and in strategies on intensifying collection of student financial liability by way of orientation on parents/guardians on payment culture, intensifying communication mechanism on collection, account cards available on demand and availability e- payments while continuously improving the overall areas of school operation to perpetually participate as Educational Service Contracting (ESC) schools.

Background and Objective Telehealth has become a well known tool for the delivery of health care in Saudi Arabia, and the perspective and knowledge of healthcare providers are influential in the implementation, adoption and advancement of the method. This systematic review was conducted to examine the current literature base regarding telehealth and the related healthcare professional perspective and knowledge in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods This systematic review was conducted by searching 7 databases including, MEDLINE, CINHAL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, PsycINFO, and ProQuest Central. Studies on healthcare practitioners telehealth knowledge and perspectives published in English in Saudi Arabia from 2000 to 2023 were included. Boland directed this comprehensive review. The researchers examined each connected study using the AXIS tool, which evaluates cross sectional systematic reviews. Narrative synthesis was used to summarise and convey the data. Results Out of 1840 search results, 10 studies were included. Positive outlook and limited knowledge among providers were seen across trials. Healthcare professionals like telehealth for its ability to improve quality, access, and delivery, save time and money, and be successful. Age, gender, occupation, and work experience also affect health workers knowledge. In Saudi Arabia, healthcare professionals face inadequate expert assistance, patient privacy, internet connection concerns, lack of training courses, lack of telehealth understanding, and high costs while performing telemedicine. Conclusions Healthcare practitioners telehealth perceptions and knowledge were examined in this systematic study. Its collection of concerned experts different personal attitudes and expertise would help enhance telehealths implementation in Saudi Arabia, develop its healthcare delivery alternative, and eliminate frequent problems. This research investigates the nexus between online discussions on Dr. B.R. Ambedkars ideals and their impact on social inclusion among college students in Gurugram, Haryana. Surveying 240 students from 12 government colleges, findings indicate that 65 actively engage in online discussions, with 80 demonstrating moderate to high awareness of Ambedkars ideals. Statistically significant correlations reveal that higher online engagement correlates with increased awareness p 0.05 and perceived social inclusion. Variations across colleges and a notable effect of college type on perceived social inclusion highlight the influence of contextual factors. Furthermore, the intersectional analysis underscores nuanced differences based on gender, caste, and socio economic status. The basic objectives of corporate disclosure is to give a true and fair view of companies to the parties related either directly or indirectly like owner, government, creditors, shareholders etc. in the companies act, provisions have been made about mandatory and voluntary disclosure. The IT sector in India is rapidly growing, the trend to invest in the IT sector is rising and employment opportunities in IT sectors are also increasing. Therefore the IT sector is expected to have fair, full and adequate disclosure of all information. Unfair and incomplete disclosure may adversely affect the entire economy. The Impact of Educational Background and Professional Training on Human Right...ijtsrd
This study investigated the impact of educational background and professional training on human rights awareness among secondary school teachers in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, India. The key findings reveal that higher levels of education, particularly a master’s degree, and fields of study related to education, humanities, or social sciences are associated with greater human rights awareness among teachers. Additionally, both pre service teacher training and in service professional development programs focused on human rights education significantly enhance teacher’s knowledge, skills, and competencies in promoting human rights principles in their classrooms. The Role of Mentoring and Its Influence on the Effectiveness of the Teaching ...ijtsrd
This paper reports on a study which was conducted to investigate the role of mentoring and its influence on the effectiveness of the teaching of Physics in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. The study adopted the convergent parallel mixed methods design, focusing on respondents in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected, analysed separately, and the results were compared to see if the findings confirm or disconfirm each other. The quantitative analysis found that majority of the respondents 72 of Physics teachers affirmed that they had more experienced colleagues as mentors to help build their confidence, improve their teaching, and help them improve their effectiveness and efficiency in guiding learners’ achievements. Only 28 of the respondents disagreed with these statements. With majority respondents 72 agreeing with the statements, it implies that in most secondary schools, experienced Physics teachers act as mentors to build teachers’ confidence in teaching and improving students’ learning. The interview qualitative data analysis summarized how secondary school Principals use meetings with mentors and mentees to promote mentorship in the school milieu. This has helped strengthen teachers’ classroom practices in secondary schools in the South West Region of Cameroon. With the results confirming each other, the study recommends that mentoring should focus on helping teachers employ social interactions and instructional practices feedback and clarity in teaching that have direct measurable impact on students’ learning achievements. Design Simulation and Hardware Construction of an Arduino Microcontroller Bas...ijtsrd
This study primarily focuses on the design of a high side buck converter using an Arduino microcontroller. The converter is specifically intended for use in DC DC applications, particularly in standalone solar PV systems where the PV output voltage exceeds the load or battery voltage. To evaluate the performance of the converter, simulation experiments are conducted using Proteus Software. These simulations provide insights into the input and output voltages, currents, powers, and efficiency under different state of charge SoC conditions of a 12V,70Ah rechargeable lead acid battery. Additionally, the hardware design of the converter is implemented, and practical data is collected through operation, monitoring, and recording. By comparing the simulation results with the practical results, the efficiency and performance of the designed converter are assessed. The findings indicate that while the buck converter is suitable for practical use in standalone PV systems, its efficiency is compromised due to a lower output current. Energy becomes sustainable if it meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Some of the definitions of sustainable energy include the considerations of environmental aspects such as greenhouse gas emissions, social, and economic aspects such as energy poverty. Generally far more sustainable than fossil fuel are renewable energy sources such as wind, hydroelectric power, solar, and geothermal energy sources. Worthy of note is that some renewable energy projects, like the clearing of forests to produce biofuels, can cause severe environmental damage. The sustainability of nuclear power which is a low carbon source is highly debated because of concerns about radioactive waste, nuclear proliferation, and accidents. The switching from coal to natural gas has environmental benefits, including a lower climate impact, but could lead to delay in switching to more sustainable options. “Carbon capture and storage” can be built into power plants to remove the carbon dioxide CO2 emissions, but this technology is expensive and has rarely been implemented. Leading non renewable energy sources around the world is fossil fuels, coal, petroleum, and natural gas. Nuclear energy is usually considered another non renewable energy source, although nuclear energy itself is a renewable energy source, but the material used in nuclear power plants is not. This paper aims to outline the executive regulations, survey standards, and specifications required for the implementation of the Sudan Survey Act, and for regulating and organizing all surveying work activities in Sudan. The act has been discussed for more than 5 years. The Land Survey Act was initiated by the Sudan Survey Authority and all official legislations were headed by the Sudan Ministry of Justice till it was issued in 2022. The paper presents conceptual guidelines to be used for the Survey Act implementation and to regulate the survey work practice, standardizing the field surveys, processing, quality control, procedures, and the processes related to survey work carried out by the stakeholders and relevant authorities in Sudan. The conceptual guidelines are meant to improve the quality and harmonization of geospatial data and to aid decision making processes as well as geospatial information systems. The established comprehensive executive regulations will govern and regulate the implementation of the Sudan Survey Geomatics Act in all surveying and mapping practices undertaken by the Sudan Survey Authority SSA and state local survey departments for public or private sector organizations. The targeted standards and specifications include the reference frame, projection, coordinate systems, and the guidelines and specifications that must be followed in the field of survey work, processes, and mapping products. Towards the Implementation of the Sudan Interpolated Geoid Model Khartoum Sta...ijtsrd
The discussions between ellipsoid and geoid have invoked many researchers during the recent decades, especially during the GNSS technology era, which had witnessed a great deal of development but still geoid undulation requires more investigations. To figure out a solution for Sudans local geoid, this research has tried to intake the possibility of determining the geoid model by following two approaches, gravimetric and geometrical geoid model determination, by making use of GNSS leveling benchmarks at Khartoum state. The Benchmarks are well distributed in the study area, in which, the horizontal coordinates and the height above the ellipsoid have been observed by GNSS while orthometric heights were carried out using precise leveling. The Global Geopotential Model GGM represented in EGM2008 has been exploited to figure out the geoid undulation at the benchmarks in the study area. This is followed by a fitting process, that has been done to suit the geoid undulation data which has been computed using GNSS leveling data and geoid undulation inspired by the EGM2008. Two geoid surfaces were created after the fitting process to ensure that they are identical and both of them could be counted for getting the same geoid undulation with an acceptable accuracy. In this respect, statistical operation played an important role in ensuring the consistency and integrity of the model by applying cross validation techniques splitting the data into training and testing datasets for building the geoid model and testing its eligibility. The geometrical solution for geoid undulation computation has been utilized by applying straightforward equations that facilitate the calculation of the geoid undulation directly through applying statistical techniques for the GNSS leveling data of the study area to get the common equation parameters values that could be utilized to calculate geoid undulation of any position in the study area within the claimed accuracy. Both systems were checked and proved eligible to be used within the study area with acceptable accuracy which may contribute to solving the geoid undulation problem in the Khartoum area, and be further generalized to determine the geoid model over the entire country, and this could be considered in the future, for regional and continental geoid model. its stakeholders, may face a myriad of risks that
threaten the achievement of academic, safety,

objectives. The need to manage risk is driven by
numerous factors including changes in society,
growing expectations from parents and regulators,
increased litigation, competition and global events.
This situation has increased calls by stakeholders in
education for principals' application of risk
management strategies to mitigate these risks that
threaten school improvement.
Risk can be defined as the uncertainty connected with
every kind of business activity. In consonance, Risk is
any issue that can affect the objectives of an
organization. Hence risk management can be defined
as the identification and acceptance or offsetting of
the risks threatening the existence of an organisation.
In support, Boubala (2020) asserted that risk
management involves minimizing things that may
negatively impact upon a school and identifying and
harnessing those things that will help to achieve the
goals and objectives of a business. An effective risk
management structure allows organisation like
secondary schools to understand the risks in any
initiative and take informed decisions on whether and
how the risks should be managed. According to St

management of school's risks is an important and
serious responsibility for stakeholders within the
school.

highlighted the critical factors to the success of any
school risk management strategy to include
embedding a risk-aware culture throughout the
school; communicating our risk management strategy
to all stakeholders; acknowledging that 'it can happen
here'; adopting innovative techniques to mitigate
risks; effective identification and management of
school-related strategic risks in addition to the
operational risks; engaging staff and students in
discussions on risk and control concepts; and
adopting a continuous improvement philosophy.
The goals of risk management is to identify potential
risks, to analyse risks to determine those that have the
greatest probability of occurring, identifying the risks
that have the greatest impact on the entity if they
should occur, and defining plans that help mitigate or
lessen the risk's impact or avoid the risks while
making the most of the opportunity. Boubala (2020)
suggested that risk management specifically concerns
identifying and documenting risks, analysis and
prioritisingrisk, performing risk planning, monitoring
risk plans and applying controls and performing risk
audits and reviews. In this study the researcher will
determine principals' application of risk
identification, risk analysis and risk monitoring
strategies for secondary school improvement.
Risk Identification is aimed at identifies all risks,
which could interrupt or damage the school goals (St
Margaret's Anglican Girls School, 2016). Identifying
risk involves considering what, why, when, where
and how things happen. Risk identification consists of
determining which risks are likely to affect the project
and documenting the characteristics of each. Similar
to risk identification, risk analysts is also seen as a
very important risk management strategy.
Risk analysis is the next phase after risk
identification. Boubala (2020) averred that once the
risks are identified, they need to be analysed and
evaluated. The aim of the risk evaluation is to
determine the degree of the identified risks and
quantify their financial impact on the school. It is
therefore necessary to analyse the ways through
which the risk could affect the school goals. At this
stage the measures to handle the risk will be chosen.
Those measures range from risk avoidance or
prevention, over risk reduction, to transfer of risks
and finally acceptance of the risk. After analyzing
risk, the next phase is risk monitoring.
Risk monitoring is the last phase of risk management.
It is at the risk monitoring phase that the success of
risk identification, analysis and assessment have been
successful (Raji&Akanbi, 2019). This phase is crucial
for taking appropriate measures in time, in case of
deviations between the actual and planned risk
situation are identified. This includes reviewing the
effectiveness of risk controls and treatments.
Continuous monitoring and review of risks are also
conducted by the internal risk committee to ensure
new risks, and any changes to existing risks, are
identified and managed to provide an up-to-date view
of the risk status (St Margaret's Anglican Girls
School, 2016). The application of these strategies
according to Raji and Akanbi (2019) would help and
lead to high performing schools and ultimate school
improvement.
School improvement according to Igwegbe (2021) is
defined as a distinct approach to educational change
that aims to enhance student outcomes as well as
strengthening the school's capacity for managing
change. Similarly, Freddy cited in Igwegbe defined
school improvement as, an effort to determine and
provide, from within and without, conditions under
which the adults and youngsters who inhabit schools
will promote and sustain learning among them.

School improvement is simply what comes out of an
activity for what the principals put in, in terms of
commitment to the work. According to these
definitions, the purpose of school improvement is to
impact ostensibly on the relationship between the
teaching and learning process and the conditions that
support it.
It is therefore, expected that secondary school
principals in secondary schools in Otuocha Education
Zone in particular and secondary schools in Anambra
State in general apply these strategies in their schools.
However, the extents to which these risk management
strategies have not been empirically proven. It is
against this background that the researcher
empirically determined principals' application of risk
management strategies for secondary school
improvement in riverine communities in Otuocha
Education Zone in Anambra State.
Statement of the Problem
The need to ensure safety in secondary schools is
imperative to the academic development of secondary
school students which subsequently result to national
development. Sadly, secondary schools in Otuocha
Education Zone are faced with various
environmental, physical and human risks which
threaten to derail the attainment of the stipulated
goals of the National Policy on Education.
Furthermore, there are also cases of hazards and risks
like the problems of strips and falls, violence,
accidents, chemical injuries, electrocution,
dilapidated facilities, and increase in the number of
staff deaths and illness which present occupational
hazards to teachers.
These issues leads to cases where staff are
increasingly faced with several occupational hazards,
withdrawal, absenteeism, low morale, unproductivity
and lack of commitment, might continue to manifest,
thus hindering effective management of secondary
schools in Anambra State. The principal is in a unique
position to manage these risks, yet, the strategies
which principals adopt in managing these risks have
not received much research attention. Therefore, the
problem that this study addressed is: Which risk
management strategies do principals in Otuocha
Education Zone of Anambra State apply for
secondary schools improvement?
Purpose of Study
The main purpose of this study was to determine
principals’ application of risk management strategies
for secondary school improvement in Otuocha
Education Zone in Anambra State. Specifically, the
study determined the extent to which secondary
school principals’ in Anambra State apply:
1. Risk identification strategy for secondaryschools
improvement in Otuocha Education Zone in
Anambra State.
2. Risk analysis strategy for secondary schools
improvement in Otuocha Education Zone in
Anambra State.
3. Risk monitoring strategy for secondary schools
improvement in Otuocha Education Zone in
Anambra State.
Research Questions
The following research questions guided the study:
1. To what extent do principals apply risk
identification strategies for secondary school
improvement in Otuocha Education Zone in
Anambra State?
2. To what extent do principals apply risk analysis
strategies for secondary school improvement in
Otuocha Education Zone in Anambra State?
3. To what extent do principals apply risk
monitoring strategies for secondary school
improvement in Otuocha Education Zone in
Anambra State?
Method
The research design adopted in this study is
descriptive survey. This design is considered
appropriate for the study because it will collect
information from principals on their application of
risk management strategies. The study was carried out
in Otuocha Education Zone. The zone comprises of
three local government areas. Anambra East,
Anambra West and Ayamelum, there are 28
secondary schools in the zone. The population of the
study comprised 28 principals from the 28 public
secondary schools in Otuocha education zone of
Anambra State. The instrument used for data
collection was a questionnaire developed by the
researcher from the reviewed literature. The
instrument was titled "Questionnaire on Principals
Application of Risk Management Strategies for
Secondary Schools Improvement (QPARMSSSI)".
The instrument contains 28 items in three clusters of
Bl, B2 and B3 according to the three research
questions guiding the study. The three clusters
contain 11, 10 and 7 items respectively. All the items
are structured on a 4-point rating scale of Very High
Extent (VHE), High Extent (HE), Low Extent (LE)
and Very Low Extent (VLB) weighted 4, 3, 2 and 1
respectively. The face validation of the instrument
was determined. To do this, the research questions.

of Educational Foundations, all in the Faculty of
Education, NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awka.
A pilot test was conducted to establish the
instrument's reliability whereby the questionnaire was
administered on 10 principals of secondary schools in
Enugu State who were not included in the population
of the study. As a result of the fact that the instrument
is in three clusters, the researcher had to ascertain the
reliability of each cluster using Cronbach Alpha
reliability method, which yielded coefficient values of
0.80, 0.77 and 0.72 for clusters B1 to B3 respectively.
The Cronbach Alpha reliability analysis on the
obtained data yielded a score of 0.76 for internal
consistency, which was deemed high for the study.
The research developed a structured questionnaire
used for data collection. The questionnaires were
administered by the researcher on the spot to the
principals' in their offices in their schools. Yet those
principals who were not disposed to fill the item for
immediate retrieval, an appointment of revisit was
booked with the researcher and this exercise lasted for
two weeks. The reason was to ensure and facilitate
high return rate of the item for analysis.
Out of the 28 copies of the questionnaire
administered, 27 copies were returned. These 27
copies representing 96 percent return rate of the
questionnaire distributed were used for data analysis.
The data collected were analyzed using mean. The
mean value was used to answer the research
questions. The decision rule was done using the item
by item and cluster mean both relative to real limits of
the 4-point rating scale as shown below:

Discussion
Findings revealed that principals of public secondary
schools in riverine communities in Otuocha education
Zone applied risk identification strategies to a low
extent. This finding may have resulted because
secondary school principals are not adequately trained
on ways of managing risks exposures in and around
the schools. This finding is in agreement with Rugar
(2020) who noted that school administrators fail in
the task of adequately managing risk within their
school. Rugar highlighted the need for appropriately
utilizing mechanism for efficiently managing risk in
schools. Similarly, Wandee, Sirisuthi and Leamvijarn
(2017) averred that secondary school administrators
should engage in risk identification strategies that so
as to be able to know the types and levels of risk their
schools could be exposed to. This will assist school
administrators in mapping out strategies to mitigate
risk. Raji and Akanbi (2019) posited that several
formalized risk identification methods are available to
schools, and are usually used in combination to
identify the broad school risk.
Findings revealed that principals of public secondary
schools in riverine communities in Otuocha
Education Zone applied risk analysis strategies to a
low extent. Furthermore, findings of the study
showed that risk analysis strategies like ranking of
risks in the schools, adopting an impact probability
scale for measuring risk, mapping out the risks facing
the school, validating the impact and probability of
risks and determining measures for handling risk
were applied by principals of public secondary
schools to a low extent. This finding is in
disagreement with Chris (2012) revealed that
secondary school principals applied risk analysis
strategies such as having fire extinguishers,
emergency team members available in the schools,
dormitories in many schools had emergency doors.
Again, most of the dormitories in the schools were
fitted with emergency doors. This study is
contradictory to the present study because the
findings proved that there is proper management of
risks in the public schools while the present study is
working on the risk management strategies in public
secondary schools. Furthermore, Nkporbu, Asuquo
and Douglas (2016) opined that in carrying out risk
analysis, all staff should be involved with analysing
risk to ensure an understanding of each risk, its
consequences and the likelihood of the risk occurring
is prevented.
Findings revealed that principals of public secondary
schools in riverine communities in Otuocha
Education Zone applied risk monitoring strategies to
a low extent. Findings further revealed that the
respondents applied risk monitoring strategies such as
building risk management vision, strategy and
awareness for the school; ensuring that the initial risk
management foundation of structure, resources and
operating model for the school are put in place,
aligning expectations through a risk management
commitment in the school, engaging in specific risk
issues to help fulfill the risk management
commitment of the school; fully engaging all unit
heads in the risk management process of the school,
enhancing risk management is fullycoordination with
other organizations and ensuring that the school risk
management is fully integrated with the school risk
planning to a low extent. This finding is in line with
Edo, Umanah and Uzogara (2017) who noted the rate
at which risks are managed in secondary schools is
poor. Edo et al (2017) stated that principals and
teachers' have roles in management of safety and
management have significant relationship with the
extent of teaching and learning in senior secondary
schools. Similarly, Arop, Owan and Ekpang (2018)
revealed a significant relationship between physical
hazard management, psychological management,
environmental hazard management, noise hazard
management and teachers job effectiveness in terms
of punctuality, classroom management, instructional
delivery, lesson evaluation, dressing and record
keeping respectively. Edo, Umanah and Uzogara
(2017) recommended that secondary school
administrators should adopt foolproof safety systems
be designed and incorporated into the educational
system to ensure the implementation of risk
management and safety principles.
Conclusion
Based on the findings of the study, the researcher
concludes that principals of public secondary schools
in riverine communities in Otuocha Education Zone
do not apply risk management strategies for school
improvement. It is therefore imperative that adequate
measures need to put in place to improve on
principals' application of risk management strategies
given the plethora of risks the schools are exposed to.
Recommendations
Based on the findings of this study, the researcher
proffers the following recommendations:
1. The Post Primary School Service Commission
should regularly organize in service training for
secondary school principals that is targeted at
improving the skills of principals on ways of
identifying risks and threats in their schools.
2. Secondary school principals should contract the
services of private risks management consultants
to help the schools in analysing the identified

risks in the school and suggest possible solutions
for managing risks.
3. Secondary school principals should consistently
carry out risk monitoring drills and activities in
their schools. This will keep them update on the
level of risk readiness of their schools and areas
where improvements need to be made.
