Harrods, a famous London department store, selected Sun Microsystems' Java Integration Suite to support its growing multi-channel retail operations and improve the customer experience. The Suite will provide a service-oriented architecture to create a single view of customer, product, and promotional data across Harrods' brick-and-mortar and online systems. This is intended to optimize Harrods' online capabilities while preserving existing IT investments. The first phase will integrate customer data from legacy systems to support anticipated growth.
