Abstract: "This article presents an approach for reusing choreographies of digital stories, regardless of the platform for which they have been developed. Currently, story choreographies are locked-in to the technology for which they have been implemented (game, simulation, interactive animations), becoming unavailable as these platforms are rendered obsolete. This lack of reuse inhibits the adoption of digital storytelling: to perpetuate digital stories one requires new and repeated efforts and investments to recreate them for new technological platforms that replace previous ones. Our proposed methodology safeguards the narrative semantics of the story choreographies in a platform-independent way, allowing them to be automatically adapted to new technological platforms when the original ones become obsolete."
