Life Sciences Summer Institute (LSSI) • Goal: to help increase awareness of the life science industry and related fields of research to students and teachers in the San Diego Region. • The student 7 week internship includes: – A A one‐week pre internship "Boot Camp" training k i t hi "B t C "t i i – A paid internship at one of San Diego's life science industry or academic research labs – The development and presentation of a scientific poster • Institutions hosting interns: – The Scripps Research Institute – Salk Institute – La Jolla Institute for Allergy & Immunology • BIOCOM, the San Diego Workforce Partnership and the Southern California Biotechnology Center Biotechnology Center www.biocominstitute.org
