The document discusses how various media technologies were used at different stages of creating a music video project. YouTube was used to upload the video project to receive feedback and exposure due to its large user base. Tags and search results helped the video receive more views, especially from the target audience. Blogger was used to document the research, planning, and evaluation stages with pictures, screenshots and embedded videos. It allowed feedback from teachers. Hotmail was used to contact a record label to acquire permission to use a song in the video.
1. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research , planning and evaluation stages?
2. Youtube was useful for my media product. I used it to upload my media project and as of Youtube being used so frequently it helped me give my media product enough exposure and I utilized it to receive audience feedback. Also using youtube helps me receive feedback from anyone around the world as of youtube being a global sensation. My video is also able to receive more views and more significantly by my target audience as when you search for the song my video is the fourth result therefore the audience will be able to access it with more ease. The use of tags will help my product receive more views as my tags incorporate things that link to my video such as the genre, band name, relevant bands e.t.c. Personally I used Facebook to receive audience feedback but through youtube I’ve received feedback from only my target audience as blues-rock is not a mainstream genre and the band that I used are not established. I Also used youtube in my research and planning stages to evaluate other music videos of the genre I used. Feedback from Youtube: - “Totally need to credit "Radio Moscow" for the audio....otherwise there could be some **** to deal with. Alive Records may not be liking this...:) Cool video otherwise.” – This comment lead me to check his profile and from his profile I learnt that I found my target audience as his favorites were mainly Radio Moscow live performances. His age also met my target audience research

4. I was able to embed videos from youtube of Guitar solos and Rock videos as evidence of research and to show the conventions of rock videos and the camera angles included in the videos to prove why I chose to shoot my video as I did.
5. I used blogger to post the history of the genre I used and the different era’s of the genre to get a sense of what I’m required to produce and what sort of look blues-rock artists usually have so I could use those as a blueprint to style my lead actor and my band.
