Low-key lighting is used on him to present his character as a villain and the identity as a villain is further supported by the two Handguns he is holding.<br />Planning – Shooting<br />My opening sequence will take place in the night but it will be hard to organize filming session at night as of the problems with the lighting. But as my opening sequence will take place in an office I’ll be able do the shoot in the day as it won’t be possible to identify at what time the events are taking place. Even though I may shoot in the day artificial lighting will still be needed as the time of filming has to be apparent to the viewer.<br />Even though artificial lighting will be used a lot of darkness will have to viewable in the scene to give the feeling mystery and evil through Blake’s character. The darkness can be used to unsteady the viewer and in this case Blake’s questionable character is supposed to leave the audience to either to view the character as a villain or one fighting for justice. With the darkness concealing much from the audience and leaving them to question the characters creates as suspense as the viewer doesn’t know what to make of the events that have taken place.<br />Camera/Angle<br />My opening sequence will include many extreme-close ups of the characters faces to unease the viewer and make them feel vulnerable to Blake’s character and able to connect with him. The close-ups will also be used to show the fear on Michael and Ken’s faces and unease the viewer and make them unsure on who is the villain which creates suspense. In my opening sequence I will use the camera angles, shots and lighting to represent the conventions of thriller such as Low-key lighting to represent mystery and evil and close ups to represent the characters emotions e.g. fear. <br />The opening sequence will for the majority of the sequence shown from Blake’s perspective so the viewer will get to know of motives and mixed with the close-ups and his stream of consciousness playing in the background the viewer may result in feeling as they know Blake and others may feel too close and may be pushed away from Blake’s character straight from the opening of the film.<br />
