1970s: Disco
 Disco has its roots in the underground club scene. During the early 70's in
New York City, Disco clubs were places where oppressed groups such as
homosexuals, Blacks, Latinos, and Jews could party without following male to
female dance protocol or exclusive club policies. It brought together people
from all walks of life and backgrounds. These clubs acted as safe havens for
homosexual partygoers to dance in peace and away from public scrutiny.
Disco was a genre for people to explore sexuality and push the envelope on
the dance floor. Disco clubs acted as an escape from such depressing
environments and acted as the fantasy marginalized peoples could escape to
forget oppression and racism. Disco clubs originally functioned as liberated
party spaces and were seen as places of political statement.
 By the late 1970s many major US cities had thriving disco club scenes which
were centered around discothèques, nightclubs, and private loft parties
where DJs would play disco hits through powerful for the dancers. The DJs
played "... a smooth mix of long single records to keep people 'dancing all
night long'" Some of the most prestigious clubs had elaborate lighting
systems that throbbed to the beat of the music.
 A discotheque is a place where the music for dancing is
provided by a disk jockey (DJ),who would be prominently
placed on a higher location with a wide selection of compact
discs, records etc. around him. There is a dancing floor with
an illuminated floor with dim lighting provided for dancing.
Professional lighting and sound equipment is also used here.
Generally food is not promoted much. it would have a well
stocked bar probably with a sit-down counter around it.
Young people who are attracted by the kind of music
provided generally patronize it. The deco is generally of
contrasting colours.Furnitures and fittings are generally of
the less expensive types due to rough usage that it could be
subjected to.

exhaustive and complete, this would be it: The
Top 10 Clubs in the World.
 What makes for a great club? Decor, music,
people, and alcohol. But when it comes down
to it, we tried to avoid the ones with
excessively irrational lineup policies, tried to
represent various countries (with the US getting
one per major city) and finally, let the music do
the talking while we did some drinking. Enjoy.

 Target market.
According to the customers need you should make
the product and then you can promote it as a
brand. Some factors you should consider about,
1) Spending power of the guest.
2) Seasonal available.
3) Likes & dislikes of customers.
• Theme Nights
Themed nights draw a niche crowd that might not otherwise
frequent your establishment. For example, a ladies night with
killer drink specials -- prices they can't get anywhere else or
even free drinks until a certain time -- will not only draw a crowd
of women, but the men that follow them from club to club.
Promote your ladies night to women's gyms, colleges or
universities and at restaurants.
• Promote Unique Drinks
One of the ways to promote your bar above others is to focus
on things you offer that no other nightclub in town offers. For
example, provide a unique drink that patrons can't get at any
other club -- such as the Club Rehab Rum Remix and then
theme a night around the drink, like Remix Fridays -- where
your club plays remixes of popular music and offers a deep
drink special on your signature cocktail.
• Host Special Events
If you want potential customers to see your venue as a fun
place to party, offer to let a large group hold an event there.
It might be a fraternity or sorority that hosts a celebratory
club night for a special occasion or a group of party girls that
wants to make a name for themselves as promoters. Work
with varying groups to draw different types of crowds to your
establishment
Create A Group of Promotional Models
Hold a casting call for promotional models and choose a
group that is friendly, sexy and approachable. Then, send
them out to pass out postcards and flyers for your club,
advertising your various nights. Get them involved in local
events, so they consistently have a presence -- and so does
your club. Give them cute T-shirts and other promotional
clothing and accessories, so they are constantly spreading the
word about your club.
 Happy Hours
Happy hour is a marketing term for a period of time in which
a public venue, such as a restaurant, bar, bowling,
alley, stadium, or state/county fair, offers discounts
on alcoholic drinks, such as beer, wine, and cocktails.
Sometimes once you buy a one of beer pitcher or any drink
you will get a one free.
Being well equipped is one of the basic
steps to running a successful bar. As well
as having the right tools for the job, your
