ITC entered hotels in 1975 and has various brands across luxury to economy segments. It entered FMCG in 2001 due to regulatory pressures on tobacco and sees growth potential. ITC sources raw materials from farmers through its e-Choupal initiative, building long term relationships. It continues investing in new business areas and product innovation.
