This document summarizes the Routemate project, which aims to create an accessible location-based travel training app. It describes how the app was tested across multiple phases and countries. Gamification elements like treasure hunts and finding landmarks were added to make route learning more engaging. Pilot sites found that challenges, narratives, and perceiving the app as a game improved engagement and comprehension for users with disabilities.
