Tata Motors is an Indian automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Mumbai. It was founded in 1945 as a locomotive manufacturer and manufactured its first commercial vehicle in 1954. Tata launched India's first fully indigenous passenger car, the Indica, in 1998. It has since acquired Jaguar Land Rover and produces a range of passenger and commercial vehicles in India and other countries. Current models include the Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Harrier, Altroz, Safari, and Punch.
