ACTION PLAN OF MHRD FOR THE DISABLED
SARANYA H C
KEYI SAHIB TRAINING COLLEGE
 The minister of human resource development Mr.
Arjun singh had presented the comprehensive
action plan for children and youth with disabilities,
in the parliament on march 2005.
 The action plan covers the inclusion in education of
children and youth with disabilities
Sectors to be covered…..
 Early childhood care and education
 Elementary education
 Secondary education
 Higher and technical education
 Vocational education
OBJECTIVES
To ensure that no child
is denied admission in
mainstream education
To ensure that every child
would have the right to
access an Anganwadi and
school and no child would
be turned back on the
ground of disability.
To ensure that mainstream and
specialist training institutions
serving persons with
disabilities, in the govt. or in the
non govt. sector,facilitate the
growth of a cadre of teachers
trained to work within the
principle of inclusion.
To provide hostel
facilities to girls with
disabilities and disabled
students from rural and
remote areas.
To provide home
based learning for
persons with severe
and multiple disability
To promote distance
education for those
who require
individualized pace of
learning.
To emphasize job
training, job
oriented vocational
training.

  • 1. ACTION PLAN OF MHRD FOR THE DISABLED SARANYA H C KEYI SAHIB TRAINING COLLEGE
  • 2.  The minister of human resource development Mr. Arjun singh had presented the comprehensive action plan for children and youth with disabilities, in the parliament on march 2005.  The action plan covers the inclusion in education of children and youth with disabilities
  • 3. Sectors to be covered…..  Early childhood care and education  Elementary education  Secondary education  Higher and technical education  Vocational education
  • 5. To ensure that no child is denied admission in mainstream education
  • 6. To ensure that every child would have the right to access an Anganwadi and school and no child would be turned back on the ground of disability.
  • 7. To ensure that mainstream and specialist training institutions serving persons with disabilities, in the govt. or in the non govt. sector,facilitate the growth of a cadre of teachers trained to work within the principle of inclusion.
  • 8. To provide hostel facilities to girls with disabilities and disabled students from rural and remote areas.
  • 9. To provide home based learning for persons with severe and multiple disability
  • 10. To promote distance education for those who require individualized pace of learning.
  • 11. To emphasize job training, job oriented vocational training.
