3. Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is one of the world's
largest hotel groups. with headquarters
in Minneapolis and Brussels, Belgium. The
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group includes more than
1,370 hotels in operation and under development
in over 110 countries, employing over 88,000
staff. The hotel brands include Quorvus
Collection, Radisson Hotels, Radisson
Blu, Radisson Red, Country Inns & Suites, Park
Inns, and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts. The group
loyalty program is called Club Carlson.

5.  In 1938, Curtois L. Carlson founded the Gold Bond Stamp
Company in his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Over the
next 75 years, Gold Bond grew into an international travel and
hospitality corporation, operating thousands of hotels,
hundreds of restaurants, and the world's leading business
travel management company. Rezidor was originally the hotel
section of SAS Airlines, Rezidor opened the first hotel 1960 in
Denmark, the Royal Copenhagen, designed by Arne Jacobsen.
The group developed from a regional player in Scandinavia to
an international company. In 1980, Radisson SAS opened in
Kuwait, the first to open outside of Scandinavia. In 1994,
Rezidor signed the first master franchiseagreement with
Carlson for operation and development of the Radisson brand
in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2002, the second
master franchise agreement followed for the Park Inn, Country
Inn and Regent brands in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
When SAS sold the hotel business in 2006 and Rezidor went
public (listed at Stockholm Stock Exchange), Carlson became
the largest shareholder and is today the majority shareholder.
Carlson and Rezidor launched their strategic partnership in
January 2012 with an initial focus to grow their core
brands Radisson Bluand Park Inn.

7.  Country Inns & Suites by Carlson is the upper mid-
scale hotel brand within the Carlson Rezidor Hotel
Group portfolio. Country Inns & Suites hotels are designed for
both business and leisure travelers and provide complimentary
hot breakfast and high-speed Internet. Country Inns & Suites
hotels are mainly independently owned and operated and
franchised under licensing agreements with the Carlson
Rezidor Hotel Group.
 The brand currently operates 480 hotels throughout the world
and has over 30 properties contracted and under development.
The brand is working to expand by adding 150 hotels primarily
in the U.S., Canada, India and Mexico by 2015.

10.  Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts is a worldwide brand
of 39 hotels operating in Europe, the Middle East,
the United States and Asia. Its main markets
include London (six hotels), Amsterdam (three
hotels), Berlin (two hotels) and one property in
Bloomington, Minnesota, USA near the company's
headquarters. The hotels are either owned,
managed, or franchised to independent operators
by Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts. In 2000 Carlson
Hotels acquired the Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts
brand. Today, they are operated by Carlson
Rezidor Hotel Group.
