Robert Bradford is an artist known for his unusual sculptures made from recycled materials. He was inspired to make toy-like sculptures by looking through his children's toy boxes and being intrigued by the colors and forms. Bradford uses a variety of found objects and environmental waste in his artwork, such as magazines, timber, and tree branches, partly because it is inexpensive. He creates human-sized and larger-than-life animal sculptures to imagine what it would be like to be other creatures and represent all living things that share the environment. Bradford assembles his sculptures using techniques like sticking together plastic pegs to form limbs, and credits the original creators of any ideas he adapts for his unique works.
