• We use the present perfect to talk about
experience. Time is not important.
Questions
• Q: Have you (ever) been to Jeju-do?
• A: Yes, I have / No, I haven’t
• Q: Has she (ever) eaten jukkumi?
• A: Yes, she has eaten jukkumi / No, she hasn’t
eaten jukkumi.
Present perfect and Past simple
• We often use these together. First we talk about
the experience and then we talk about when it
happened
• Q: Have you (ever) been to Thailand
• A: Yes, I’ve been to Thailand once. I went there in
2007 on vacation. I stayed for three weeks. I had
