2. PRESENT PERFECT
We use the Present Perfect to talk about life
experiences.
We form the present perfect with have / has + past
participle:
I / You / We / They have eaten Chinese food.
He / She / It has been paragliding.
NEVER:
I / You / We / They have never been skiing.
He / She / It has never been to Los Angeles.
3. NOW LET´S MAKE QUESTIONS!
We use these questions to ask about LIFE
EXPERIENCES:
Have I / you / we / they ever arrived late?
Has he / she / it ever fallen down?
As this are “Yes – No questions”, the answers are short:
Yes, I / you / we / they have. // Yes, he / she / it has.
No, I / you / we / they haven´t. // No, he / she / it hasn´t.
4. JUST / ALREADY / YET
By using these adjectives together with the Present
Perfect, we talk about recent news or events.
(+)
I´ve already visited three colleges.
His uncle has just made a donation.
(-)
I haven´t made a decision yet.
(?)
Have you visited your favourite colleges yet?
Remember these questions take short answers.
5. FOR - SINCE
We use these words to talk about present activities that
started in the past:
