This document provides instructions for students to create portraits of their classmates by including visual clues about them. Students will interview their partner, asking questions about their favorite color, activity, food, sports, and other details. These answers will help the students incorporate clues that identify their subject when creating a Blue Dog portrait of their classmate. The portraits aim to help viewers understand who each painting represents through visual elements in the clothing, background, and other included details.

portrait is about, an artist will include visual clues in the clothing of the subject and in the
background of the painting. You are going to create a Blue Dog painting about one of your
