1. The purpose of this Practice Unit is to allow you to become
comfortable and proficient with using and navigating D2L, since
it is the primary mode of instruction for UA Online/hybrid
courses.
2. You can access D2L in two
ways:
1) d2l.arizona.edu
2) UA mobile app
For the purpose of this
tutorial, we’re going to use
the desktop version of D2L.
You should bookmark the
D2L homepage in your
browser.

Use the Table of
Content to navigate
to different
week/units. Go to
“Start Here.”

The first unit, includes
important course information
like course policies and the
syllabus. Make sure you read
through all of that information
before beginning the course.
Start at “Course Intro.”

After viewing the
topic, use the arrows
in the top right corner
of the presentation to
click between topic. If
you click to the right
of the “Course Intro,”
you’ll be taken the
“Syllabus.”

You can check your
progress while
viewing content by
clicking the tab to the
left of the
presentation.

Use the “Table of
Contents” to
navigate to another
week to see what
each module
includes.

Click on the topic to view it. Make sure you click through every topic to
complete it. When you complete a topic, a check mark will appear next
to the topic.
17. Grades
Under “Grades,” you can see every single assignment and the grades
you received for each assignment. An ungraded assignment shows a
dash.
Remember that we’ll be using both D2L and GradeCraft and it may take
a day or two for the grades to match on both sites.
18. Dates and Deadlines
You should always know dates and deadlines for adding classes, dropping
classes, refunds, withdraws, etc.

19. You can move on to the next topic by clicking the arrows in the upper
right hand corner.
