Statement of the Problem
• This study aimed to know the effects of using
facebook as an alternative for teaching and
students’ learning in USTP-Oroquieta.

alternative in teaching and learning among other social
media platforms.

Scope and Delimitation of the Study
This study “Facebook as an Alternative Learning
Platform: It’s Impact on Teaching and Students
Learning in USTP-Oroquieta" merely focuses on the
knowing the effects of using the application. The
researchers only focus on the selected instructors
and students of USTP-Oroquieta. The researchers
will conduct survey used by means of answering
survey questionnaire and the respondents are
compose of selected instructors and students in
USTP Oroquieta City

CHAPTER II :REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURES

lear ning theor y that s ugges ts s tudents s hould c ombine
thoughts , theor ies , and gener al infor mation in a us eful
manner. It ac c epts that tec hnology is a major par t of the
learning proc es s and that our c ons tant c onnec tednes s gives
us oppor tunities to mak e c hoic es about our lear ning.

CHAPTER III: METHODOLOGY
• This study used the descriptive
and qualitative research.

• The study will take place in the University of Science
and Technology of Southern Philippines – Mobod,
Oroquieta City

• The study population consisted of all 3rd year BTLED
Students and selected instructors of the University of
Science and Technology of Southern Philippines.

Sample and Sampling
Procedures
• A sample of 30 subjects was selected from the three
different programs, IA, ICT and HE and 9 instructors
which consist of 3 in each program.

Research Instruments
• The survey questionnaire will be the major instrument
used in this study so that we are secure despondence
to certain questions. Open-minded questions will be
use to give the respondents the opportunity to give
their responses and suggestions

Data Collection Method
• The method used is inductive reasoning where we
based our conclusion on their answer after evaluating
it. The process in giving the said questionnaires is
being able to give and wait for them to response. This
is the easy way in gathering their thoughts and ideas
