This document provides information about Indus University, the SAE Supra competition, and Team Vayuputras' formula-style racing car project. Indus University was established in 2006 and aims to bring social change through education. SAE Supra is a national competition that challenges students to design, build, and race a formula car. Team Vayuputras, consisting of 25 motorsports students from Indus University, is designing and fabricating an open-wheel racing car to compete in SAE Supra using cutting-edge simulation and fabrication techniques. 2. ABOUT COLLEGE
• Indus Institute Of Technology And Engineering was established in the year 2006 by
Electrotherm (India) Ltd – India’s largest manufacturer of induction melting furnaces. This
institute is managed by Bhandari Charitable Trust founded and managed by eminent
academicians.
• Granted university status in 2012
• Indus University (UGC Approved) is one of the leading universities in Gujarat. It aims to
bring social changes with education, skill development, research and innovation. It provides
diverse opportunities for students and faculties to improve their knowledge and skills to be
successful in today's world.

3. ABOUT SAE SUPRA
• SUPRA SAEINDIA is a great event which gives a real
platform to students to test their engineering skills and
refine them by learning from their little mistakes.
• The Event is held at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC).
• SAE SUPRA is a national level event that challenges
young minds to compete as teams to design, simulate,
fabricate and race a Formula category vehicle.

• SAE International has more than 121,000 members -
engineers, business executives, educators, and students
from more than 97 countries-who share information and
exchange ideas for advancing the engineering of mobility
systems.
• SAE is a one-stop resource for standards development,
events, and technical information and expertise used in
designing, building, maintaining, and operating self-
propelled vehicles for use on land or sea, in air or space.

5. ABOUT THE VAYUPUTRAS
• VAYUPUTRAS the word itself says son of Vayu means as fast as
wind.
• Team Vayuputras aims at conceiving practical automotive
experience by designing, fabricating, simulating, testing and tuning
open wheel, open cockpit circuit racing car.
• The team consist of 25 motorsports enthusiast from different
branches in engineering viz. Mechanical & Automobile.
• The team will give its 100% and will leave no stone unturned to
bring out the best efforts.

6. FABRICATION
• We use the most modern technology and cutting edge innovative techniques
to fabricate our vehicle.

• Use of alloy lightweight super strong pipes
• Use of TIG welding to give high strength finish

• Use of specially designed and analyzed F3 tires for best
• grip and ruggedness
• Use of sequential gearbox to get maximum transmission
efficiency with minimal gear shifts

8. CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY
• The extensive use of softwares to design and analyze the
static and dynamic characteristics of our vehicle sets us
apart from the rest
• Use of ANSYS analyzer to do dynamic analysis

• Use of suspension analyzer to assess varying loads
on the suspension

• 28th in 2011 edition of BAJA all over INDIA, Rank 3 in GUJARAT, Rank 1 in Rally in State.

• 72nd in 2014 edition of BAJA all over INDIA, Rank 7 in GUJARAT
• 49th in 2015 edition of BAJA all over INDIA, Rank 6 in GUJARAT
• 19th in 2016 edition of BAJA all over INDIA, Rank 1 in GUJARAT.
• 3rd in 2016 edition of Mega ATV Championship.
• 10th in 2018 edition of BAJA all over INDIA, Rank 3 in GUJARAT
