2. ELECTRICITY DEFICIENCY IN TAMILNADU
• For one week 16,000MW
electricity is generated
in tamilnadu.But the
consumption level is
more when compared to
the rate of generation of
electricity,Now
tamilnadu is reeling
under a 4,000Mw
shortage at
present.Reaserch says
our people are wasting
around 500-600Mw.
3. METHODS TO MINIMIZE THE
USAGE OF ELECTRICITY
1.Generating electricity using candles
2.Electricity generation using toy motors
3.Electricity generation using pencil lead
4.Waste CDs can be used as a fan
4. GENERATING ELECTRICITY USING CANDLES:
• First take the nails and insert
them into each candles make sure it
does not come out the other
• side. Next you will need the
magnet rub the surface of the
magnet again with the nail to
magnetize it. Do the same with the
other nail to magnetize it. Next
attach each lead with each candles
then you can power up almost
anything here we are using a bulb
now light up each candle the bulb
will glow.
5. Electricity generation using
toy motors:
•put a foam between two CDput a foam between two CD
then using bold and nuts connectthen using bold and nuts connect
that CD to a wooden stand withthat CD to a wooden stand with
an arm then place a bobbin asan arm then place a bobbin as
flat washer place a pulley lockflat washer place a pulley lock
with nuts pulley must rotatewith nuts pulley must rotate
freely. Fix 9 volt toy motor infreely. Fix 9 volt toy motor in
the wooden stand then connectthe wooden stand then connect
the toy motor and pulley usingthe toy motor and pulley using
rubber band on pulleys ensurerubber band on pulleys ensure
smooth rotation. Fix led to motorsmooth rotation. Fix led to motor
,then rotate thus led will glow, then rotate thus led will glow
when motor spins.when motor spins.
6. GENERATING ELECTRICITY
FROM PENCIL LEAD:
HB-HB pencil pair was firstly dipped to NaCl vial
and then NaCl we rinsed the leads by deionized
water to clean the surface of the pencil leads.
The output current boomed to about 100 nA and
showed the same downtrend as observed. The
current decreased to about 10 nA after about
three days. We also rinsed the leads by 0.1 M
HCl, but found that the effect was not as good as
DI water, which might due to that the presence
of Cl- weakened the effect of the washing
process.
Different ions were studied to investigate this
phenomenon. All the concentration of cations
was 3 M and all the measurements were
performed at room temperature. All the data was
generated at the rate of 1 data/second, and was
collected after the pencil leads had been
exposed to the solution for 10 minutes. The 220
Kohm resistor was loaded to the circuits during
all the measurements. The, NiCl and finally
CuCl2 vial. The results showed that Cu2+
exhibited better ability to produce electricity
comparied with K+,
7. WASTE CDs CAN BE USED AS FAN
NEAR PC:
•insert a cork at the centre of
another CD attach the first CD
with the cork attached CD.
And fix a small engine with
the CD another end is
connected to the CPU of the
personal computer then
automatically the it starts
rotating thus it serves as a fan
when we working in the
personal computer.
8. •ADVANTAGES:
1. We can minimize the usage of electricity.
2 .The methods which discussed above is eco Friendly.
3. Pollution free.
4. We can generate electricity at any place even at the
forest.
5. Low cost.
6. Time required for generating electricity is less.
7. We can implement within short duration.
