“To collect, preserve, conserve, exhibit and interpret the
historical, ethnological, cultural and scientific heritage of
the Panhandle-Plains region of Texas and related areas
of the Southwest; to operate and maintain the
Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum in accordance with
the rules and regulations of the Texas A&M University
Board of Regents; to enlist interest and support in
achieving this mission; and to undertake other related
activities.”

8. If museum staff had to choose one social
media platform, what would it be? Why?
Facebook
It speaks to the audience and is allows easy
integration to Instagram. With both tools it is
extremely effective to reach the audience.
Facebook also offers video capability which
allows the ability to showcase the collection
