►Expresses a state of being. It
usually links the subject and
predicate in the sentence

2. Action Verb
►It expresses an action. It is
also called “doing verb”.

• Paula speaks French fluently.

3. Verb phrases
►Consist of a helping verb and the
main verb.
►It maybe composed of more than
one word.
