PDHPE aims to develop students' knowledge, values, skills and attitudes through encouraging healthy lifestyles and physical activity. It teaches important subjects like growth and development, and interpersonal relationships. Students who participate in PDHPE are likely to be happier, concentrate better in school, have more energy, and develop better communication and family relationships. The syllabus includes eight strands of subject matter and five skills for students to learn, such as decision making and communicating, which are essential for primary students. Ensuring children understand the importance of PDHPE requires cooperation between parents, teachers, and schools.
