He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND EVALUATION STAGES?
1. HOW DID YOU USE MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES IN THE
CONSTRUCTION AND RESEARCH, PLANNING AND
EVALUATION STAGES?
EDWARD BOATENG
2. RESEARCH AND PLANNING
YouTube was what I used for my case studies. I needed to analyse 3 music videos and YouTube
was the platform where I found the 3 professional music videos, we decided to look on YouTube
for videos that fit our preferred genre of music. These music videos were influences for our music
video which includes camera shots, editing, mise-en-scene and more.
We used YouTube to upload feedback that we received from our music video draft and our pitch
video also. This is because it is easier to access and so other people can watch it too.
However I did not upload my music video onto Youtube as me and my group uploaded it onto
Vimeo, Vimeo is a platform where you can upload videos and receive feedback onto.
3. Google was the search engine that allowed me to access many platforms such as YouTube and
blogger which allowed me to upload my work and my progress as this platform is only accessible
with a google account. Google allowed to gather pictures for my print product case studies, as I
needed the pictures from Example I has to receive the front and back covers for my print
products case study. I used Google to also download the distribution company logo’s such as
song record, RCA etc. I also used it to get a picture of a barcode. Google was used for my case
studies music videos, as it was used to see how it can relate to mine and how to create it. On the
other hand I was able to find the dimensions for the CD on Google images.
4. Time toast was used for me to be able to organise scheduling. This allowed us to check what
was meant to be due according to our deadlines with our work. This made helped me and
other people to meet the deadlines. Time toast was a good one to use because it was simple
and easy to use and it would not make me divert to other things instead of the main thing on
the timeline.
Moodle was used for me to be able to access templates for the front and back cover, call sheets,
assessment sheets and more, I also used moodle to look for documents that may come in
handy and would need to help me in the future.

Whatsapp was a social media that me and my group used to communicate with each other. It was the easies
communicate because everyone in my group has Whatsapp so we decided to create a Whatsapp group inste
of just calling each other. However if we was not able to communicate due to internet reasons we would be a
to call as we have each others numbers. Through Whatsapp we was able to plan what days we are going to
shoot and where we were going to shoot. We were able to discuss what costumes we wanted to wear and wh
props we wanted. This was a good idea because we was able to plan before, so therefore if we did not have
prop that we needed we could go and buy it from where we needed to. We was able to check who was
available and to find out if everyone was comfortable to film at our locations. Through Whatsapp we were abl
to have conversations quicker which was easier.
6. THE CONSTRUCTION
CANON & CAMERA EQUIPMENT
We used the Canon EOS 700D to take our professional pictures and to also film, at the start we were not
familiar with how to use the camera, however we had a teacher show us the basics of the camera which
we then got the hang of it. I am not fully perfect at using the camera as i am still gaining more skills from
it. We was able to learn how to change the settings such as the ISO. Using the tripod was helpful
however carrying it around was slightly hard for some people in my group. This is because during our
half term someone in my group had their own camera so we decided to use that instead. This was a
good idea because they also had some equipments we decided to use such as lenses. However carrying
the equipment all the way was a bit tiring. The tripod did not help us pan smoothly however it was good
to stand and take some auto pictures. The shoulder mount was helpful as we could balance on our
shoulders which was also good for balance.

7. Photoshop was good for me because I have used it before so therefore I would
have a little knowledge from it. Photoshop was the programmed I used to create
my print products - my front and back cover and also my print advert. I was able
to edit the photo by the colour as I wanted to change it because it did not fit my
the theme of my music video. I enjoyed using Photoshop and I believe that my
skills have improved, this is good for me because I can work on things for my
stuff when ever needed without questioning. I believe that the use of rulers was
very helpful and it made sense to as why it was needed.

8. PREMIER PRO
We used the Premier Pro software to edit our music video. This software on the Apple Mac was
new to me and the group so we found it a bit fascinating to find out new things. As we went on
we learnt new things such as some transitions which were fading in and out of scenes.
Rendering was a situation which became annoying at times because it used to take up to 45
minutes sometimes and at times things would not save due to it crashing. I learnt how the
music is added over the video to make it a music video instead of listening to what is actually
coming from the video. Premier pro was useful because we was able to change the colouring
of scenes that we though needed changing, for example making something brighter or darker.
However Premier pro was not easy as it sounds as we had to go through a lot of things to
create some effects, For example the drawing effect around the artist at one scene. It took
time and effort to create.
9. PREZI & EMAZE - EVALUATIONS
Prezi is an online based programme which is similar to a spider web but more interactive and acts like a
slide. It was a good way for me to present my work in an entertaining way to make it less boring to the
audience instead of them just reading. Prezi allows me to embed onto other sites such as blogger so an
audience can see. I used it for questions that are big as it allows me to use as much space as I like. Prezi
allows me to zoom in and out to get a perfect view of images. It is useful as it can be downloaded on the
app store.
Emaze is a similar program to Microsoft PowerPoint however it is more catchy and animated. This allowed
me to find images on the slides rather than just adding them on any slide as there is an option for upload.
10. MICROSOFT WORD AND WIX- EVALUATIONS
Microsoft was very helpful for me. I used PowerPoint to copy and paste pictures which needed
to be cropped because I found it easier if I done it that way and also it is a way for me to type
up. On the other hand PowerPoint offers less transitions and animations. PowerPoint was the
easiest to save my work as it put it on my USB every time I was finished at the moment or I
just saved it on PowerPoint online. Slide share enabled me to upload the PowerPoint files onto
slide share which I was then allowed to share. Additionally I am able to access PowerPoint for
free without using the internet which is helpful for people just incase the internet cuts out
With Wix I was very familiar with it as I have used it for personal use in the past. I decided to
use it because it is very professional as it allows you to create your own website to keep
privately or publish. At first it was difficult for me to use as it was hard to find different
templates.
