1. Potential names for magazine
My magazineschosen genre is R&B, therefore obviously I wantmy
magazinename to be related to musicyet I also want it to link to a
modern urban feelof R&B music. I feel as though my favouriteslisted
below follow this criteria
 Pulse(Pulseis my personaloverallfavouritenamefor my
magazineas usually the word pulseconnotateswith human
heart pulseswhich are essential for us to live, therefore I feel as
though this links this necessity to music, essentially meaning
musicis so importantto us and that we would notbe the same
without it)
 Base (Base directly relates to music which is importantfor
this task. It also links very well to my genre of modern R&B as
this typeof musicspecifically uses a lot of base as a distinct
technique)
 Wave (Waveis a good option for my magazineas it is short
and snappy, hopefully meaningitis easy for the readersto
remember. The word ‘wave’connoatesfirstly to the thought of
the sea and the colour blue, this could mean a feeling of
relaxation. Dueto the fact on holiday we go beaches and feel
relaxed this magazinecould give that same feeling)
 Edge (Edge is another option for my magazine as it modern
R&B in my opinion has recently changed and has more‘edge’ to
it compared to how it was yearsago. Therefore will relate to
my musicgenre nicely)
 Replay (Replay is a word that is very muchrelated to the
world of music. It could signify the greatness of the
song/magazine/video which is why it is ‘replayed’. ‘Replay’is
also fairly short and easy to remember for the readers
