The document discusses potential genres of music that could be used for the author's music video, including pop, hip hop, R&B, and rock. It analyzes the characteristics of each genre and what would be required to create a music video for each. The author determines indie/alternative rock would be the best choice as the genre typically has more relatable lyrics, simpler videos without flashy costumes or props, and a narrative storyline that could be easily produced with a low budget.

We all have good and bad thoughts from time to time and situation to situation. We are bombarded daily with spiraling thoughts(both negative and positive) creating all-consuming feel , making us difficult to manage with associated suffering. Good thoughts are like our Mob Signal (Positive thought) amidst noise(negative thought) in the atmosphere. Negative thoughts like noise outweigh positive thoughts. These thoughts often create unwanted confusion, trouble, stress and frustration in our mind as well as chaos in our physical world. Negative thoughts are also known as “distorted thinking”.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

2. POP
Pop music is described as “mainstream music”
and is usually just one single or hit an artist has.
Pop music can describe all music that is
popular and includes many styles
This genre always has a flashy music video as
they are usually singles. The music is usually
upbeat which means the video would have to be
fast paced. This means I would have to put a lot
more work into this as it will be harder to
produce a high quality video.
3. This music contains very rhythmic music which a
rhyming speech to go with it. I feel this genre of
music would be very easy to lip sync to as the
words aren’t always filled with emotion and are
usually at a very well paced tempo. This would
help make you less likely to mess up while lip
syncing to it.
Hip hop music videos tend to either be really
flashy or have a strong narrative of how the
artists interprets their song. I would need to
think of a good narrative for my video, that is
related to the songs lyrics, if I were to produce a
good video for this genre of music.
4. Just like Pop this genre has a mix of others
within it. This genre can be a mix of elements
from pop, rhythm and blues, soul, funk, hip hop,
gospel and electronic dance music.
This genre usually includes a distinctive record
production style. The singer uses a smooth and
emotional voice. This would make it very hard
for my actors to lip sync accurately enough as
they must show a lot of emotion if they were to
succeed.
5. Rock
O Musically, rock is centred on the electric guitar,
usually as part of a rock group with electric bass
and drums and one or more singers. These
instruments are all seen as flashy and perfecting
juxtaposes the stereotypical view of Rock.
O Rock videos tend to include flames and flashy
clothes. This is to emphasise the idea that once
you make it as a Rock star you instantly have a
glamorous lifestyle. The fire in the videos would
represent the reckless lifestyle they live. This
makes a lot of people look up to them as they wish
they lived a life like theirs, which is what makes
Rock’s fan base grow.
6. This music typically describes
lower budget labels who have
artists with a do-it-yourself
attitude. The artists are somewhat
seen as more humble than the
main form of rock.
These songs are generally seen as
having more sensitive lyrics that
people can relate too which is
what makes them more popular.
Because of this my actors may be
able to lip sync slightly better than
other genres; however some songs
are still very slow and emotional.
The videos usually depict the main
character/singer of the video as a
simple girl/guy trying to achieve a
certain goal(usually love). This is
very appealing to me as I don’t
have a high budget and would not
be able to afford too many
“glamorous” style costumes.
7. My Choice
I have decided to use the music genre indie/alternative rock.
Overall I think this would be easy to make a video for and
produce the best results. This video would not require a lot
of props and could have a strong narrative even though it
isn’t as flashy as other music genres.
