As one of the largest technology providers in China, Asiainfo Data is leading a city-scale Smart Transportation project in City of Wuxi, one of the national centers for IoT innovation in China. In this talk, we would like to share our real-world experiences in using AI and big data technologies to implement cutting-edge technologies transformation of Wuxi’s transportation systems. In this project, we collaborate with China Telecom, the Traffic Management Research Institute, smart vehicle makers, and many influential researchers on traffic management worldwide. We will showcase scenarios on public transportation prioritization, car-road coordination, and region-wide traffic signal optimization by utilizing AI modeling and the most advanced IoT technologies.

MobIWallet - Italian Pilot

The VERITAS project aims to develop tools to support accessibility testing during the planning and development of various products and technologies. It will create virtual user models based on primitive tasks to simulate the experiences of different types of users. This will allow iterative testing and feedback without relying solely on real user testing. The project will develop multi-level simulation platforms and apply the tools to scenarios in automotive, smart home, workplace, entertainment, and healthcare domains. It seeks to address the current lack of accessibility support across different sectors and development stages.

Mutation Testing for Task-Oriented Chatbots
Conversational agents, or chatbots, are increasingly used to access all sorts of services using natural language. While open-domain chatbots - like ChatGPT - can converse on any topic, task-oriented chatbots - the focus of this paper - are designed for specific tasks, like booking a flight, obtaining customer support, or setting an appointment. Like any other software, task-oriented chatbots need to be properly tested, usually by defining and executing test scenarios (i.e., sequences of user-chatbot interactions). However, there is currently a lack of methods to quantify the completeness and strength of such test scenarios, which can lead to low-quality tests, and hence to buggy chatbots.
To fill this gap, we propose adapting mutation testing (MuT) for task-oriented chatbots. To this end, we introduce a set of mutation operators that emulate faults in chatbot designs, an architecture that enables MuT on chatbots built using heterogeneous technologies, and a practical realisation as an Eclipse plugin. Moreover, we evaluate the applicability, effectiveness and efficiency of our approach on open-source chatbots, with promising results.

The ASK-IT indoors/outdoors navigation support facilities & Social Events service ASK-IT demonstrates several of its services including user localization, indoors navigation and outdoors route planning, through mobile phones and PDAs. o Sensor technologies are used for the indoors navigation, to demonstrate the ‘Guide Me’ service, i.e. Zigbee and/or MOTES (Smardust family); o For the outdoors only the route planning is demonstrated, as Vienna is not one of the ASK-IT pilot sites (so as to support outdoors navigation and route guidance). Specifically, the accessibility attributes of a few POIs of Vienna city centre have been added. Also, the Social Events service is demonstrated, displaying a list of events in Vienna of particular interest to the e- Inclusion society (and potentially of specific interest to the user). ASK-IT evaluation & demonstration across Europe Tests with about 400 mobility-impaired users have been performed in the 8 pilot sites of ASK-IT. Core sites Satelite site 49 connected services (of various service providers) covering the following applications: o Localisation and intermodal route guidance o E-commerce & e-payment o Domotic control o ADAS & IVICS for all o Health & emergency management o E-working and e-learning o Assistive devices interface o Self-configurable user interface www.ask-it.org
