Author and Teacher Stefania Shaffer gave up a successful career in television advertising sales in order to make a difference in her community. She believed the biggest impact she could make would be with children helping them to navigate life's bumpy road. Stefania Shaffer attended San Francisco State University to earn her Teaching Credential, and currently teaches English Language Arts to seventh graders. A few years into her new enthusiastic role, Stefania Shaffer received a sincere thank you note from a former student that left a lasting impression. It reminded her that sometimes what kids take away from the classroom may have nothing to do with the lesson plans at all.
