2. Importing the footage
first I implemented the footage I wanted to use for
my documentary, I chose the footage i wanted to put
in form the media browser and dragged it into the
timeline once the footage was inserted into the
timeline i could edit the footage and make my
documentary as good as it can be

• I chose the captions tool out
of the editing options to put
text into my documentary
• Once selected It showcased a
variety of options for me to
choose one.
• Once I found one I wanted to
use I dragged it into the
timeline and typed in what text
I wanted to display, I then
changed the colour to make the
text more visible when over
lapped with the other footage, I
done this by changing the
colour, size scale and position in
the edit section of the captions
tab, this process was repeated
wherever the text was needed

4. Adding music
• For the music I used a free site
called ben sound to implement
music into the quitter part of
the documentary to give it a bit
of ambience and so it feels less
like a quiet void, to do this I
went to the ben sound website
and downloaded a track that fit
best and imported it to the
timeline to use it and
implement it wherever it fits
best

5. Adding the images
to the footage
• I used a similar method to put
images over the text as I did
with implementing the videos
and text by dragging it from
the media browser to the
timeline and over lapping the
image over the footage on the
timeline to make it visible
over the footage

6. The problems
• The first problem was importing the footage, but my SD card
corrupted the footage and that meant I had to re shoot
footage on an already tight schedule and in the media
industry time management and meeting deadlines are crucial
between a success or failure with a particular product, for
some footage premier pro said it was incompatible so to fix
that I uploaded my footage raw to youtube re-downloaded it
in another video format before premier pro decided it was
compatible, then even though the files were visible on the
media browser premier pro said the media was missing, along
with the final fixed footage not working when exporting due
to ‘inconsistencies’ in the footage either that or the footage
wouldn’t render for an unknown reason, however I worked
through all these problems to finish my product for the BBC
