2. Possible Magazine VIBE
VIBE magazine is a possibility of the magazine that I
could use as an example and I have chosen this
magazine because I think that it is very in your face
and catches the reader’s attention with every issue
that they publish.
This sticks out to me because I would want my
magazine to be eye catching, and for the audience to
notice it straight away. Such as with these two
issues, they are both very eye catching as the one on
the right is very appealing, as the artist has his top of
revealing his body and the one on the left is of TI with
a very sexy look on his face.
The artists that VIBE magazine have on their front
covers are normally R&B and hip hop artists as seen
in the two examples I have. However they don’t
always have artists on the covers they also have
actors and actresses and the president Barack
Obama.

3. Possible Magazines NME
NME magazine is a possible magazine that I could
choose to use as an example and I have chosen
NME because I think that their front covers are very
stylish and unique, as they are very different to
other magazines.
I think that they catch the readers attention with
each of their issues because they have artists on
their front covers that not many magazines choose
to have on their covers, this makes the magazine
appealing to me.
NME magazine is mainly Indie music, and has
bands such as Oasis, Foo Fighters and Kasabian.
The type of people that NME have on their front
covers are normally men which is why Rihanna’s
front cover stands out, buy they do normally have
male artists and male bands on the front cover.
They also have artists that aren't very known, and
are trying to make it into the industry.

4. Chosen Magazine VIBE
The magazine that I have chosen to use as an
example is VIBE magazine, I have chosen VIBE
because I really like their magazine covers. They
are very appealing and I think that I would enjoy
producing a magazine cover using VIBE as an
example.
VIBE magazine is a music and entertainment
magazine produced by Quincy Jones and features
mainly R&B/ hip hop artists and actors and other
entertainers.
An issue of the magazine is released every month
and some artists such as Mary J Blige have been
on the cover with featured articles a number of
times. The magazine was originally called Volume
before the co-founding editor renamed it VIBE.

5. Genre Of VIBE Magazine
The genre of music that VIBE magazine, mainly
focuses on in its magazines are R&B and hip hop
music. They show this by having R&B and hip hop
artists on the front cover of their magazines.
R&B stands for rhythm and blues, and is a popular
African American music, and came about in the
1940s-1950s. The term R&B was referred to music
of electric blues, gospel and soul music. Examples
of R&B artists are Alicia
Keys, Rihanna, Aaliyah, TI, Chris Brown, Mariyah
Carey, Neyo and Kanye West.
Hip hop music originates from African American and
Latino American communities in the 1970s, in New
York mainly in the Bronx. Hip hop music has four
elements: rapping, DJing, breaking and graffiti.
Examples of hip hop artists are Lil Wayne, Nicki
Minaj, Jay Z, Nas, 50 Cent, Dr Dre, Beyonce and
Mary J Blige.

pages, the things that I like about these magazines are
that, they are different and unique as they aren’t the same as
many magazines. The cover of Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson are
very sexy and this is what females on magazines look like as
they try to attract the audience. The men on the magazines
don't really smile and have a serious face on most of the
time, this is a convention because they show a series side to
them. two have got the

7. Articles From VIBE Magazine
These are a few examples of articles from VIBE
magazine, and the things that I like about these magazines
are that the image is the most dominating thing on the page
and this is important because the image is supposed to be the
biggest, most important thing on the page.
The words VIBE or V is written on every page just to show
what magazine it is, and the name of the magazine is
normally written on every page. The articles are normally
about what the artists has been getting up to for the past year
or months and if they have got a single or album being
released then they will talk about that, or a relationship.
