The National Park Foundation needed a way to quickly enter donation batch data. An Access application was created to allow data entry clerks to efficiently enter donations from various sources into a SQL Server database. The application provided feedback on errors and data requirements in real time to maximize the clerks' productivity. Code Gurus developed the application solely to interface with the database and generate summary reports.

This study analyzed the relationship between students' learning styles and their preferences for various Web 2.0 applications as learning tools. 57 graduate students completed an online survey assessing their learning styles using the Felder-Silverman model and preferences across 19 Web 2.0 applications. Results found no significant differences in learning styles between groups. Students showed a tendency towards active, visual, and sensing learning styles. The most preferred Web 2.0 tools were free sites, smart recording/notes, Presenter, and Google Docs. Correlations found intuitives prefer Presenter, visuals prefer podcasts, and actives prefer webquests. The study aims to help educators match tools to learning styles.

This study analyzed the relationship between students' learning styles and their preferences for various Web 2.0 applications as learning tools. 57 graduate students completed an online survey assessing their learning styles using the Felder-Silverman model and preferences across 19 Web 2.0 applications. Results found no significant differences in learning styles between groups. Students showed a tendency towards active, visual, and sensing learning styles. The most preferred Web 2.0 tools were free sites, smart recording/notes, Presenter, and Google Docs. Correlations found intuitives prefer Presenter, visuals prefer podcasts, and actives prefer webquests. The study aims to help educators match tools to learning styles.

- 1. Project Title: National Park Foundation – Mothership Batch Loader Period: July 2003 through today. Client: Triad Communications Complexity: 1 database, 67 tables, 750 Meg of live data. 1 custom Access VBA application, 11 forms, 100 lines of code. Technology: Microsoft Access 2000 SQL Server 2000 Summary: To support the Mothership master database project for the National Park Foundation, a quick way to enter batches of donations was needed. A team of data entry clerks enter the donations that come in via a variety of methods into the database. A quick way to enter the data was required. The expectations of the data entry clerks demanded that fast feedback about errors, data requirements as well as confirmation of data entered be supported in order to maximize efficiency. An Access application was written to interface to the SQL Server database and provide the capability to enter data and see the results in summary reports.
