Small Business and Enterpreneurship :The key difference between small business and entrepreneurship is that a small business is a limited scale business owned and operated by an individual or a group of individuals whereas an entrepreneurship is defined as the process of designing, launching and operating a new business, which usually starts as a small business and pursues growth.
Are You a small business owner or an entrepreneur?
Even though small business owners are commonly referred to as entrepreneurs, these two roles are not entirely the same. Entrepreneurship
An entrepreneur is someone who creates a new innovative business by himself/herself. They take huge and unknown risks and then reap the rewards when successful. Entrepreneurs have specific characteristics in themselves. They are risk-taking, innovative, sharp-minded, and disciplined. An entrepreneur usually introduces a new product or service to the market. Such entrepreneurial ventures have high potential growth with an equal level of uncertainty. The modern economy benefits a lot from succe...

Project #4: Portfolio
Your syllabus includes the following information about your portfolio:
Portfolio: At the end of the semester, students will choose 2 of the essays they have written, substantially revise them, and, in an appendix, provide samples of process writing related to the two major papers. The portfolio should begin with an introduction that contextualizes the artifacts and accounts for any course outcomes not directly seen in the artifacts.
I will evaluate the papers you submit and assign a grade to the portfolio, which is worth 100 points, approximately 10% of your final grade for ENG 2322. The portfolio is your opportunity to showcase your best work. This is your time to shine! The portfolio will represent your work during the semester and should exemplify your ability to write, as well as revise and edit your own work. You should submit your entire portfolio in ONE Word document.
Portfolio Components:
The portfolio should begin with an introduction that explains which two papers you chose and why. The document should also contain a statement about your writing strengths and weaknesses, as well as a plan to address your weaknesses as you continue to write college-level papers. Next, you should work to discuss whether you believe you have met the specific learning objectives for this course (see below). Finally, the introduction paper should contain a realistic assessment of your work – what grade do you think your portfolio deserves, and why?
Primary Learning ObjectivesDetermine appropriate rhetorical techniques to apply in response to rhetorical situations
Use the writing process to discover and reassess ideasCompose valid arguments in multiple modalitiesSupport arguments with appropriate types of evidenceEvaluate sources for accuracy and authority Navigate print and digital repositories of informationUse the rhetorical situation to determine the appropriate citation systemDescribe how inquiry contributes to a life of significance and worth
After your introduction, you should include your two revised, polished essays that you have chosen to showcase from this course. As a reminder, your options are Project #1, Project #2, and Project #3. Because you have had the opportunity to write, identify errors, and correct them, you are expected to submit papers that are very clean and well written.
After your two polished essays, you should include an appendix that contains the prewriting work that went into your two essays (e.g., brainstorming, journal entries, outlines, drafts, etc.). This appendix should show how your writing has been a process this semester. If you have handwritten any process work for your essays, you can take pictures of it and include those pictures in your Word document.

MS5401 3DS Max CW1 WS1:
For workshop week 1 in Gameplay Event and Level Design we were tasked with creating a
sword from scratch using blueprints of the master sword from Zelda: Twilight Princess. This
sword was to be created in 3DS Max which is a program used to create 3D objects. Swords
are an iconic symbol of combat in games, and is a common weapon used. As most games
these days are 3D it is important to be able to create a simple object with not too many
polygons, but still give the items enough detail so that it is suitable for purpose but easily
rendered. This is a valuable asset to my portfolio as 3DS Max and 3D modelling is the
desired field of work, and it is an opportunity to show improvement for later work.
MS5401 Gungan Rescue CW1 WS9:
Gungan Rescue was a task assigned in Gameplay Events and Level Design, where the
student had to create a 2D level in unity. This workshop involved testing the student by
creating a level using the assets provided, to show the show the student’s abilities of
combat balancing and event planning. The game had to have three different events,
including combat, to create a challenging but yet to interesting gameplay. There were doors,
triggers, keys, bosses and boosts for the students to modify and implement into the
gameplay to create the desired level. This is a valuable asset to my portfolio as it involves
planning and strategizing how to map out the level and implementing events to create
interesting gameplay, while also having to consider the variables to create a balanced game.
CC5102 Story and Myth Essey CW1:
The essay for Story and Myth involved choosing a game and a text, from the module guide,
to compare the two. This is an useful assessment as a big part of games are the story, and it
is important for a designer to be able to connect it to other texts, both to improve your
game storyline, but also to find the right way of structuring it. It can give the designer a new
perspective on how to approach the story and also generate new ideas of how to develop
the story further. It is useful for the designer to be able to analyse a text, to find out what
emotions this brings out and what about it that entices to the reader. A part of a games
purpose is to draw the player in. With the right approach and knowing what it is you want
the player to feel, researching into other stories and texts can help the designer do exactly
this.

MS5400 Paper Review CW1B:
For Digital Media Research Methods CW1B the student was tasked with reviewing an
academical paper linked to games. The paper for CW1B revolved around emotion and
affect. This aim is to understand and locate the source of player addiction and analysing
player behaviour. This is an important topic, as most games main goal is to sell their games,
the designers need to know what captivates the payers and what draws them in. If the
gameplay is uninteresting and has bad mechanics it can easily lead break of game flow,
which can lead to game termination. It is important for both students and designers to be
able to properly research, especially for marketing reasons.
MS5402 Company Research Report CW1A:
For Professional Practice CW1A the assignment was to find a company that you were
interested in working in and write a report on the research found and why you would be
fitting candidate. When finished with a degree and you move into the next phase of looking
for a job it is important that you find a job where you have the specific requirements to be
hired. This includes skills and nationality. It is important to take into account where the
company is placed. If your nationality is British and your desired game company to work in is
set in the US, you will have to consider obstacles such as getting a visa to be able to live and
work there. It is also important when researching for a possible job, to look at the
requirements and see if you have the skills to do the work required. You will have to take a
look at what you are capable of, what your strengths and weaknesses are, and how to
present yourself in the best way in an interview.
MS5401 Critical Reflection CW1B:
For CW1 A and B Gameplay Events and Level Design the assignment involved the student
looking at the previous workshops and reflect on what they had done and what they could
have done better. This is a valuable asset to my portfolio as the ability to look at your own
work, analyse it, and reflect over what you have done and what you have learned can be a
crucial part of improving future work. Looking over your own work, finding the mistakes and
researching and working on fixing the problems encountered, can help avoid similar
obstacles in the future.
