The złoty is the currency of Poland, subdivided into 100 groszy. Banknotes and coins are used as currency. While eating out and groceries are cheaper than in Western Europe, imported goods cost significantly more, sometimes more than in Paris or London. A good meal with wine costs 70-100 złoty, while public transportation is relatively inexpensive and discounts are available for students and seniors.
