Photosynthesis is the process by which plants take in carbon dioxide and water, use energy from sunlight to turn these into carbohydrates, and release oxygen as a byproduct. During the day, plants carry out photosynthesis, taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen to fuel their growth and provide oxygen for other living things. At night, plants switch to breathing in oxygen and releasing carbon dioxide like animals.

A thing that only plants could do
They breath in carbon dioxide
and exhale oxygen
These things make carbohydrates
which plants need to make energy
Which plants need to live
To give them food to
Keep them alive
Since it needs the sunlight to
Keep us alive by making air
Something the world can’t go without
At night its like a light switch
It goes from one mode to another

2. Instead of making oxygen it does an amazing
thing it starts to breath like an animal
A human or a bird it starts to breath in
Oxygen and releases carbon dioxide …….
But lucky for us they make ten times more
oxygen than carbon dioxide.
