This document outlines a business seminar on Porter's 5 Forces model. The seminar will recap Porter's 5 Forces, examine a case study of Brompton Bikes, and have students conduct an analysis of Brompton Bikes using the 5 Forces model. Students will then analyze the competitive environment of a hypothetical new business they invent using the 5 Forces model. The goal is for students to understand how to identify and assess competition in an industry using Porter's 5 Forces of suppliers, buyers, potential entrants, substitutes, and industry rivalry.
