Omari’s sporting goods operates as a sole proprietorship. In Trinidad and Tobago
a sole trader by law must obtain all forms, namesearch and namereservation
collect the namereservation documents, Complete registration process and collect
the registration certificate. The business will provide quality sporting gear from
some of the top brands. My business will also provide deliveries at an additional
but reasonableprice. Opening hourswill be from 8:30am – 5:30pm Mondayto
Saturday.

Omari’s sporting goods aim is to provide qualityfor entire families primarily
focused and specialized in football, hockey and cricket equipmentand apparel
form a wide rangeof brandsto choose from such as Nike, Adidas, Joma, Puma,

the store will draw attraction as it is very close to the entrance of the
compound.

 Recreational and competitive sport hasa high presents in this area.

8. Role of the Entrepreneur
An entrepreneur is an individualwhobring together the factors of production
(Land, Labourand Capital) toproduce a good or service that he believes
consumers will be willing to buy, allowing him to make a profit from his
investment. The entrepreneur make concepts which have total responsibility for
decision making, bearing losses, profits received and risk taking.
Functionsof the entrepreneur in the business:
Planning – Thisis the first step of management. Theownerof Omari’s sporting
goods is responsible for setting goals, deciding when and how resources are to be
used and the time line to meet objectives.
Organizing– The owner will also be responsible for bringing together resources
needed to provide their services.
EvaluatingPerformance – Analysing daily reports received on purchases cost,
delivery of goods and sales. Analysing the overall in sales and cost structure,
Identifying problems which require corrective action.

We obtain good for sale from Wholesale Sportswearin the UK. Through this we

Nike, Adidasand Puma to namea few. We also obtain high quality gym equipment
from GymratZ Gym Equipment.

Two qualitycontrol measures taken by the business are:
 We sort through new socks and return faulty goods to suppliers when goods
are badlydamaged, some good with bearablefaults are kept and sold at half
price or donate to a home in the area.
 To ensure the high qualityof goods we promise that when home deliveries
are madewe place goods in a properly insulated box and strap them to the
wall of the van to ensure good don’t slip or slide during transportation and
in the even if the insulation prevents contents in the box from being
damaged.

Benefits of using these Technologies:
 We use the internet to order stock as our suppliers are abroad and aren’t
always ableto travel abroad. Thistechnology will ensure thatsupplies

 Thankto our active facebook and instagram accountcustomer are able to
inquire aboutproducts before the come to the store, customer are also given
to option to call our cell phonesthis way they can contact the delivery men
to tract, correct and even cancel orders. This is a more efficient process of

There are a lot of issues a business can encounter when dealing with employees
and customers these issues usually involve the ethical code of behaviour.
The major ethical issue to be faced is showing respect to employees and customers.
Lacking respect will lead to loss of customers and will motivate employees. This
will be a great disadvantageto the business because customer will lost interest in
the business causing a loss and worker will not enjoy doing their job and may
leave after a time.
To make sure this does not happen interacting between the employer and the
employees are constant to give them a sense of belonging and keep them motivate
to do the best they can, this causes the customer to fell welcomed and free to shop
and to come back, the also make the owners job easier in this aspect of the job.
