Data were gathered through document examination, internet and interview of NHIS desk officers, health record officers, and NHIS accountant in two of our tertiary hospitals. Data were analysed and graphs were drawn to show current status. Software Engineering architecture for its development for better system was introduced. From the data analysed, it was found that none of the current Nigeria HMOs, Health Facilities (HFs) and NHIS headquarters is fully computerised and networked which is making the current system epileptic. People on transit and rural areas are not adequately catered for. Therefore, a workable Real-time Health Insurance Scheme will help people on transit and bridge urban-rural health divide.

ABSTRACT
Introduction: E-health is relatively a recent term and can be shuffled with health informatics. It engulfs all forms of
digital and electronic processes found in healthcare provided via information and communication technology (ICT)
channels. This study is an attempt to find out the level of utilization and effectiveness of e-health in Saudi Arabia due
to the vast number of citizens, residents and pilgrims dependent on the present healthcare system. Aim: 1. To assess
the utilization status of electronic health (e-health) in Makkah city hospitals. 2. To measure the usefulness of e-health
in delivering good healthcare in Saudi Arabia. 3. To find out the challenges cum barriers in implementing e-health
services in Saudi Arabia. Methods: A randomized study was carried out in three important hospitals in the Makkah
Region. The entire number of samples collected for this study was 51. They belong to the administrative and medical
staff in the hospitals and comprise of those staff who handle the daily operations of delivering healthcare services to
the patients. Results: The hospitals - King Abdullah Medical City (KAMC), King Faisal Hospital (KFH) and Al Noor
Specialist Hospital are using e-health but in different capacities. The main challenges are the costs and expertise
of such innovative systems in information technology apart from the lack of computer and technical expertise of
the hospital staff. Conclusion: E-health is widely used nowadays and is playing a dynamic and modern role in the
delivery of healthcare in Saudi Arabia. This study brings out the e-health utilization and application in the health
sector. It has exhibited that most of the clinical departments are utilizing e-health at an optimum level.

- 1. Perinatal / Neonatal Mortality Surveillance System ″PNMSS ″ Egypt: 2010-2014 Sept., 2014
- 2. Background The Perinatal / Neonatal mortality indicator is one of the best indicators to reflect the standard of health care provided and the socio-economic status of the country. Despite MoHP and partners to reduce child and neonatal mortality, data regarding PNM is still not accurate and causes are not clearly identified. Therefore, in 2010 UNICEF, MoHP, and Assiut University started a pilot PNMSS in Assiut Governorate and in 2012 Sohag and Quena Governorates were added to collect data from a total of 22 sentinel sites at primary, secondary, and tertiary health levels 2
- 3. Global Objective of PNMSSS To help stakeholders and decision makers to put the necessary strategic plans to decrease perinatal and Late neonatal mortality and achieve The Millennium Development Goals (MDG 4) 3
- 4. Specific Objectives of PNMSS Highlight the magnitude of the problem of perinatal & late neonatal deaths . Explore the various risk factors and Identify the avoidable ones. Disclose the contribution of the medical and paramedical personnel as well as the community. Suggest the strategic plans. Test the sentinel site surveillance system feasibility and expansion potentials. 4

- 20. Achievements in 2014 1. Expanding the system to 3 hospitals in sohag 2. Introduce the system to 20 PHUs in Matay district, Minya 3. Finalize the new data collection form with the ICD 10 coding inside. 4. IT unites team in the 4 governorates were trained on the soft system to move into the second phase. 20 19 August 2020
- 21. Future plans in 2015 1. Review the system to be finalized before it is introduced to MoHP to stretch the system to become a national program. 2. Strengthen the Governorates level review committees 3. Release a newsletter with the finding and analyses to be shared with the Governorates. 4. Conduct a meeting with stakeholders to introduce the system , findings, result of the analysis, and suggested strategies. 5.
