This systematic review examines whether community health and lay worker programs in lower-income countries are more effective and sustainable when integrated within existing community structures. The review identified 32 relevant studies and found that only one included statistical measures of community integration. Most studies did not situate attrition and retention issues in the context of community enablement. The conclusion is that community health workers are often seen as interchangeable labor units rather than representatives embedded within historical community networks. Greater strategic cooperation and shared learning between community health programs and communities may be needed for improved sustainability.

Presentations of the main findings of the study “The Impact of Gender Policy Processes on the Right to Food: The Case of Cambodia” written by Margherita Maffii (Right to Food International Consultant) for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The analysis takes into account the Cambodian legal framework in relation to food security, national policies in matters related to food security, social protection and gender, for promoting the advancement and empowerment of women. It also considers the intersection between national gender policies and ongoing decentralization processes. The study was recently validated during a national workshop held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on 22 March 2016, attended by Government, institutions and CSOs.

The analysis takes into account the Cambodian legal framework in relation to food security, national policies in matters related to food security, social protection and gender, for promoting the advancement and empowerment of women. It also considers the intersection between national gender policies and ongoing decentralization processes. The study was recently validated during a national workshop held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on 22 March 2016, attended by Government, institutions and CSOs.

The description of the grant to be used in this paper includes the promotion and foster of community partnerships to reduce homelessness in various communities. In essence, the project is intended to engage both provincial and territorial government levels to join the effort of aligning homelessness investments and priorities with the ultimate goals and objectives to prevent and reduce the aspect of homelessness especially in many youths (Forchuk, 2018). To elaborate, the grant is a unique program based on community affairs with the ultimate goals of eliminating if not reducing homelessness issues within various communities. Moreover, the project is aimed to accomplish this by encouraging funders to directly provide their support and funds to about sixty designated communities across all territories and provinces that are possible to reach. One of the significant factors that make this grant to be worth and for one to gain the confidant of pursuing it is the fact that it has been witnessed working for other countries. For instance, the grant was implemented in Canada in 2011, where it served over three hundred projects and managed to raise over fifty-five million Canadian dollars. The funds were well utilized by focusing them on, especially youth and young adults of age fifteen to twenty-eight. Based on that, it is a potential grant that I believe if well managed it is worth to take the risk as it guarantees the reduction of homelessness.
For evaluation purposes, several questions were identified to assess whether the grant was aligned with the objectives and goals of eliminating or reducing the aspect homelessness in various communities within the country. Furthermore, there were designed questions that aimed at assessing the progress of the program in its implementation including coordination, communication, reporting, adherence to housing first principles, monitoring as well as an assessment of early outcomes of the grant.
In accomplishing all the necessary criteria that were required by the project, I utilized Bing as my search engine for the task.
The goals and objectives of the selected funding agency are to ensure that it provides all the necessary resources that can enable the non-profitable organizations with its purposes of fulfilling the intended impact towards the communities concerned. Community organizing for social and instrumental support of the Long Beach Black Infant Health Program #BlackSummer: 75.8% had a lack of folic acid knowledge 32% had a lot of bills that could not be paid 42.6% experienced racial discrimination 39.5% experienced (self-reported) depression Background & Significance The Black Infant Health Program was established in 1989 to address the striking disparity in infant mortality. Black babies are more than twice as likely as White babies to die within the first year of life, and this fact has persisted for decades (Mathews & MacDorman, 2013). Due to lack of evidence for the effectiveness of the program, BIH has recently made an effort to standardize across the state. Given these recent changes, and the complexity with which social and behavioral determinants of maternal health affect Black women, there are a number of opportunities and challenges ahead. Community Health Workers The next component of the program is the training of eligible previous clients to provide social support and positive modeling for current clients. They will also perform health education in a variety of settings such as: • Local high schools and colleges • Clinics, WIC sites, hospitals • Churches, hair/nail salons, barber shops 3. #BlackSummer The final component of the summer is a series of community events that serve to raise awareness about BIH and the disparity in infant mortality. The series of events will occur throughout the summer is conjunction with a social media health communication campaign.
