Learning OutcomeSkill (General)Skill (Specific)Description (How did you achieve this PLTS?)6.1Independent Enquirers2: plan and carry out research, appreciating the consequences of decisions.In order to gain a better understanding of what a festival is and the purpose of them, I undertook various research 6.1Independent Enquirers4: Analyse and evaluate information, judging its relevance and value.I completed various worksheets about festivals and the purpose of them, the artistic policy, the target audience and the programme content. This way I could analyse festivals in detail and judge the relevance of it.6.1Reflective Learners6: Communicate their learning in relevant ways for different audiences.I used worksheets, power points, a blog, and many other unique ways to present my 6.2Creative Thinkers2: ask questions to extend their thinkingIn order to understand completely what we wanted our festival to be about and what it was to include, I asked questions about the target audience, the content of the festival etc.6.2Team Workers2: reach agreements, managing discussions to achieve resultsWe had to make a huge compromise when it came to choosing the name of the festival and in the end we came to an agreement by using elements of each persons idea.6.2Creative Thinkers3: connect their own and others’ ideas and experiences in inventive waysA lot of people within the group had various ideas about how they wanted the festival to be so I had to reach agreements on how to intertwine them both.6.3Creative Thinkers3: connect their own and others’ ideas and experiences in inventive waysWhen promoting the festival I took all of our unique ideas and put them together to create one big idea on the main area of focus.6.3Creative Thinkers5: try out alternatives or new solutions and follow ideas throughWhen I came to decisions and realised that they didn’t actually work for what we wanted to do or they were unrealistic then I tried out alternatives and followed through with the ideas.6.3Creative Thinkers6: adapt ideas as circumstances changeWhen I planned to create t-shirts with our names on it but realised that we didn’t have enough time to order them so instead we got t-shirts with the school name on and “helper” written on the back.6.3Team Workers2: reach agreements, managing discussions to achieve resultsI had to come to an agreement with everyone else about who will do what as part of the promotion and who will go where. That way we could achieve successful results.6.3Team Workers5: take responsibility, showing confidence in themselves and their contributionI had to take responsibility for my contribution of the promotion and take a positive, confident approach in order to come across professional and polite.6.4Team Workers 6: provide constructive support and feedback to othersOn the day of the festival, I had to brief all of our volunteers to make sure that they all new what they needed to do and what was expected of them. Also whilst they managed their areas, I supported them and gave constructive advice.6.4Self Managers4: anticipate, take and manage risksOn the day of the festival, I went around the area a few times to identify any safety risks and if any was found then make them seen. Also, I was going to all of the stalls to make sure that all health and safety requirements had been met in terms of volunteers monitoring the bouncy castle with children on etc.<br />

That way we could achieve successful results.6.3Team Workers5: take responsibility, showing confidence in themselves and their contributionI had to take responsibility for my contribution of the promotion and take a positive, confident approach in order to come across professional and polite.6.4Team Workers 6: provide constructive support and feedback to othersOn the day of the festival, I had to brief all of our volunteers to make sure that they all new what they needed to do and what was expected of them. Also whilst they managed their areas, I supported them and gave constructive advice.6.4Self Managers4: anticipate, take and manage risksOn the day of the festival, I went around the area a few times to identify any safety risks and if any was found then make them seen. Also, I was going to all of the stalls to make sure that all health and safety requirements had been met in terms of volunteers monitoring the bouncy castle with children on etc.<br />
